Sparkstar should have just told her kits that Quailcall was their father

she wanted to/considered it! but the grief of losing him is still there, and she's unable to talk about him or the others for very long without getting emotional. The kits are aware of their existence, but their knowledge is limited until they get older.

also, she didn't want to tell them about Fangstar. Fangstars medicine cat, Warmbeam, told them against her wishes while he was helping Sparkstar recover from giving birth and make sure the kits were healthy. (another thing Sparkstar didn't want to do, but she didn't feel like she had a choice. He would tell them about Fangstar and Snakeclan while Sparkstar was resting / recovering.

I read the words "Yewberry sprite" and immediately thought it was that a certain carbonated beverage had a new flavor out.

This can be fixed, Sparkstar can say Warmbeam is a liar because you can't trust cats from other clans... or something.

I dont think Sparkstar would be comfortable lying to them, especially Lavenderkit who has grown attached to the idea of Fangstar.
