Life as Blake
My eyelids threaten to sink ships; I think sleep may kiss me this night more feverishly than those before it. I can feel it creeping in like calm before a storm...If my resting shores must be disturbed with a wake of high tides, let their white caps roar of your presence.
among the shadows
#1 the air is heavy, breathe it in. feel it remain,
calm and steady. a lingering moon punctured through dark clouds. hearing around you a whirlpool of whispers, illusions come forth, bearing no filters. nights will remain to echo, where fabled creatures pull their disguises and let go. in the dark, consuming your mind..leaving traces and callings of the divine.
#2
My eyes are heavy, and my body aches. This wandering mind; a taint of restlessness, it cannot shake.
‘Will you sleep tonight?’.. I ask myself knowing the night has already gone. I hear the birds, waking up, taking flight.
What strains me to lurk in shadows of a secret world while others sleep?
While their dreams breathe heavy, my senses creep.
