A look at the Warr Acres Incredible Pizza Company in Oklahoma
Drive down Northwest Expressway, captures a vivid blue building eye. The car park is packed, and tunes from the 1950s to float through the air. You can not miss the flashing sign advertising go karts, bumper cars, miniature golf, hot pizza and much more. It is the Warr Acres Incredible Pizza, conveniently located in an abandoned Walmart center just outside Oklahoma City limits. "It is a perfect place for family fun!" They say. But is it? After having driven past but never an end to nearly two years, my husband and I decided to check it out out.Stepping in the front doors of Incredible Pizza, we were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. "Buffet and drinks for two?" We were immediately requested. (Apparently the only way to get access is to buy their all-you-can-eat buffets). After paying the $ 17 + we went to the door. To the right of us was "Starlight Lounge" - the dark dining room looked like a drive-in theater, complete with a theater screen to play back-to-back screenings of "Herbie Rides Again". Opposite it was "Warr Acres Gymnasium" - decorated like a 1950 high school gymnasium, play TV sports. The "Diner" was a brightly lit retro diner, complete with red vinyl chairs and tables. Finally, the "Family Room" - a quaint, wood-paneled dining room with fireplace roaring, and back-to-back episodes of Andy Griffith Show.We went through the buffet line, piling our plates high. In addition to traditional offerings of pizza, pasta and salad, had Warr Acres Incredible Pizza also kid-friendly items that Goldfish crackers and peanut butter on celery. We settled ourselves in the living room and began our meal. Cleanliness of the facility was amazing. As one who has been in other "family fun" restaurants, I can say this was by far the cleanest of any I have visited. We were also positively pleased with the food. I've had better pizza than Pizza Incredible offer - but I have also had far, far worse. After finishing our Andy Griffith episode, we went to "Fairgrounds." In order to take advantage of something in the show, you must purchase and download incredible pizza credit card. We put $ 20 on it, and checked out our options. The Go Kart looked like a lot of fun - but at $ 4.50 each, we would have used up almost half our money in a short time period. We chose instead to go bowling. After dragging our cards and hire our shoes, we were ready. Upbeat music surrounded us, while we played a few frames. We had so much fun, actually, we chose to play a second game. With just $ 5 left on our incredible Pizza credit card after two games of bowling, we walked around wondering what to do. We decided to try the bumper cars -! Other great fun activity spending just under $ 40 for two adults and two hours of incredible pizza, we decided to go home. It had been a fun outting, and somewhere we will probably visit again in the future. Although money restricted our ability during our visit, I definitely agree with his statement "Nothing tops our pizza but the fun!"
