idea with some headcanons below.

so the idea of this silly comic came from those little times when russia mentions canada and gives his very ICONIC impression about canada, like things with maple leaf 🍁 and maple syrup — which makes him sound like he only knows about canada through some travel advertisements but barely knows about matthew himself...

...which leads to my headcanon that canada being a simp for russia in their relationship with his one-sided crush.

russia is pretty nonchalant in my head, so canada would have to goes a lil bit out of his way to impress russia.

(i'll make a seperated post with more headcanons)

Is Kumajirou famous?

I think Kumajirou is more famous/beloved in Canada rather than worldwide. Foreigners have like a passing knowledge that Canada has a pet, but Canadians are very much aware of Kumajirou and adore him. He doesn't show up a lot in the media since Canada himself prefers to avoid the spotlight, but there are a lot of wholesome social media posts about him. I'm sure Kuma has made an appearance on some reality TV show in the 2000s about NP's pets where he constantly climbs all over the cameramen and Canada has to promise that he's a docile polar bear and not a tear-you-limb-from-limb polar bear.
