I wasn't intending on joining this contest but the idea of a sparklecat scientist kitty wouldn't leave my head, so I reasonably had to draw it out. I really like how she came out!

My take in the design contest

Tried to have her design exhibit mix of both the wisdom and boldness which is why it has a bit of clashing shapes with both sharp and soft edges

I imagine that she’d use the knife as like, a fifth paw to catch her opponents off-guard.

Oooh I like the glasses! The fur is pretty cool as well, kinda reminds me of Altaria /pos. The dagger is pretty cool too, very nice idea having its sheath attached to the tail! Love the colors, very nice <33

My entry for @aphidclan-clangen ‘s design contest! I had a lot of fun designing her and I think she turned out really good!

Some design notes:

- I was very inspired by Furina (specifically her ousia form) when designing her, so she’s very water themed! You can probably see her influence most in her eyes and hair style

- I like to think her dagger is something she made herself, like carved out of scavenged wood or similar material. She kinda gives crafter vibes

- I tired to stay close to her og color pallet bc it was already pretty good, just changed her eye color to fit a little better

- She was originally going to have some prince lolita fashion elements, but I ended up scraping it since it ended up obscuring her fur patterns

Im not the best at designing sparklecats, but i decided to give it a try!! My inspiration was butterflies + the scene raccoontail hair 🦋 🦋 🦋

Oooo I love the colors and markings on this one. Very pretty usage of the yellow and pink! I love it! <33

my entry for @aphidclan-clangen 's design contest! im pretty happy with her :) the designs in this comic are super inspirational to me and i can only hope this is on the same level. it was fun to try!!

My entries for @aphidclan-clangen ‘s design contest! I had multiple ideas and could not narrow it down to just one. And since we are allowed to make more than one entry uh, go my kitties.

Cause of aphidclan’s general setting I went "found object" with all their daggers. I did stray from the sprite quite a bit however ☝️ they are all still blue.

My Aphidclan Design Contest Entry!!!

I want the design to be as transferable as possible, so I also decided to make it a little harder for myself and try to imitate the Aphidclan style! I think I did alright? ^^'

Design notes and speedpaint under the cut!

I haven't done a speedpaint in forever, but now everyone can see how awfully indecisive I am!

Some design notes/ideas I have are: - I noticed that a lot of the Aphidclan cats have secondary themes other than just "sparklecat", and this girl really reminded me of space so that's what I went with! And, of course, she also has a star motif that goes along with it. - The white speckles that imitate stars on her coat have a twinkling effect, and are different every panel. Similarly her fur is very flowy and changes frequently, kind of like Celestia and Luna from MLP! - Her glasses can either be for just aesthetic or as an aid. If it's adapted as an aid, I think it would be cool if she has ocular albinism! - Her design can be symmetrical, or the galaxy pattern on her side can be on that side only. Up to you! :)

I think sending this as an ask is ok but uh look at my thing please I really wanted to include starts but I know that stars are also sparkspeckles thing but uh I was kinda going rockstar type looks? Maybe? So I wanted to include them anyways i also tried to alter my style a bit to make it more aphidclan [mostly the not drawing the inner ears] EXPLODES SORRY FOR YAPPI NG SO MUCH

Oh fuck yeah this is cool!! Love the hair and the colors on this one, she’s very glamrock <33 I love it!!
