Jongin sighed, wanting to relieve himself of the mood that he’d worked himself into. All too often anger was a part of his daily life, all too often he found himself gritting his teeth and clenching his fists by his sides. It seemed as though he was slowly turning into his father, anger consuming every fiber of his soul and resentment playing in every word that left his lips. It wasn’t as though he yearned for anger, in fact it was rather the opposite and he only wished for some kind of peaceful tranquility. Yet that didn’t seem exactly possible for him.
Everything could set him off, from a simple look as he passed someone on campus to a whisper directed toward a member of his family. This seemed to be one of those such days, when he caught a strange glance from someone and received a message from his father that made his jaw clench and a bitter tasting bile rise in his throat. So when he’d finished his classes, he was only left in a state of exhausted irritation. He didn’t want to feel that way, didn’t want the anger to consume him as it so often threatened to.
He sat down upon the stairs, a soft sigh escaping his lips and he closed his eyes for only a moment. A moment of peace was all he asked, a moment in the day where he could feel a calm sort of numbness. And yet life didn’t ever seem to work that way for Jongin, and when he glanced up he felt a glance upon his face. A frown came to his expression, immediately feeling the anger once again rise inside of him for absolutely no reason. “What are you looking at?” he asked harshly, his tone coming out more pinched than even he expected it to be.
