When youre family is aware youre aroace but they say "oh you never know what'll happen, maybe you'll change some day, but if it doesnt happen, thats okay too.":

I guess it's technically true, but it kinda feels like theyre saying "you're still young, maybe you'll change. You never know, youre still young and don't know who you are yet hehdvksvj."

Hey remember that post on new years of last year (or at least about new years of last year) where I basically said "what a way to start the year! Tired and pissed :3" yeah it was because of a situation with that phrase all over it.

One of my friends feelings about me got messed with by my family bc they thought I liked him, and apparently he liked me(??? But we're chill now dw abt us) and new years eve is when he found out I was aroace (I told him myself, but ALSO my parents told him I was aroace apparently) so finding out I was aroace pissed him off! Not at me and not at me being aroace I was fine, but at my parents who told him I liked him and them knowing i was aroace. I was pissed too ofc bc WHAT THE HELL.

I talked to my mom about it, and told her it felt like she didnt even fucking believe me when I said I was aroace. She said she did but that maybe I liked him. B U L L S H I T.

We're both going insane about this for another 15 minutes, he's mad that they lied to him about me, and I'm mad that they messed with him like that.

Come the morning where me and my parents are getting ready to leave their house, and me and bro are trying to talk about it. And apparently my dad was in on it and what he said about it was:

"Well, some people change and we thought you had changed"

And yk what I said?

"If I had changed, I would've told you."

and then I made the post. Whenever I did. Sighs.
