This one's another fairy tale AU, of a slightly different variety. There's no Fifth Blight. Instead, the Cousland daughter is one of many eligible young nobles invited to a masquerade and tournament that the king is using to seek out a suitable partner for his younger son, Alistair. I decided to try my hand at drawing Cousland's and Alistair's costumes from the masquerade, though I'm not completely happy with how Alistair's turned out. (I tried to make it look "Wardeny" enough while also still trying to stick to the costume as described.)

Sparhawk: Danae, what is going on?

Aphreal/Danae: *Blocks door* I didn’t bring anything home.

Sparhawk: Alright Danae, what animal do you have hiding in there.

Aphreal/Danae: *opens door to reveal a large fishbowl with a whale inside* He’s not an animal, he’s a mammal!

Sparhawk: You brought home a whale?!?!

Aphreal/Danae: Yes, but you don’t understand. I was exploring the coast, and I heard this sad little cry and I found this baby whale washed up on the beach. So I thought I would bring him home, but then I thought no, because you said animals don’t like being locked up in closets, but then I thought he’ll never fit in a closet, so here we are.
