Apis Atelierこと「蜜蜂工房」

名前の由来は、蜜蜂の学名であるラテン語"Apis"から。

19世紀の使い古されたアンティーク、働き蜂がたったスプーン一杯の蜂蜜を生涯かけてじっくり作り上げるように。

市街から少し離れたのどかな田舎町に佇む作業部屋で、アトリエコートを着た職人が一つ一つ、全てを手作業で仕上げている。

使われている革は植物を抽出した槽に革を漬け込んだ、古代から使われている製法である。

タンニンなめしのヌメ革は、化学薬品を一切使わずに鞣されている為、工程には膨大な手間が掛かっている。

Apis Atelier, conosciuto anche come “Laboratorio dell’Ape”.

Il nome deriva da Apis, termine latino che indica l’ape mellifera.

Come gli antichi oggetti d’antiquariato del XIX secolo,

e come le api operaie che dedicano l’intera vita per produrre appena un cucchiaio di miele,

anche qui ogni opera viene realizzata lentamente, con pazienza e dedizione.

In una piccola stanza di lavoro situata nella quiete di una cittadina rurale,

un artigiano in abito da atelier rifinisce ogni pezzo interamente a mano.

La pelle utilizzata è conciata con l’antico metodo vegetale:

immergendo il cuoio in vasche colme di estratti naturali delle piante.

Il cuoio al tannino, privo di qualsiasi trattamento chimico,

richiede un processo lungo, laborioso e profondamente tradizionale.
