Nature does not apologize for radiating its presence — and neither should you. Stand tall, stand proud, stand whole.

Here's my submission for #JanuArty day 3 prompt #tree
I've always loved 2D design. Takes me back to the days when I'd doodle during school and fill my notebooks with pages of random geometric and organic designs when I was bored. People now call this Zentangle. I'm also a fan of Medieval and Early Renaissance illuminated manuscripts. I decided to blend the two together and this is what I came up with. The supplies I used were Boku-Undo e-sumi Shadow Inks, watercolors, Sakura Micron pens, a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen and Amazon Basics watercolor paper. Paper towels and plastic wrap were used to help create texture.
i started walking down that path, beyond the winter months //
Hello folks!
Last year I had an amazing opportunity to unleash creativity and came out of my comfrot zone by creating the character design tutorial for "Inspired by Nature".
The book, published by @3dtotal, just had it's premiere not so long ago, and is now available in the 3dtotal store!
It was a huge fun, and I hope you like how the Periwinkle came out!
Volcanoes, mountains, dogs, cats, sketchbooks 🌋 I have loved and drawn nature and animals for a long time, but the volcanic theme has been present in my drawings since Indonesia. I fell in love with them. I like the way these natural amorphous shapes emerge, playfully flow together, pop out - like in a search game, you can see where shapes a cat or dog is hiding. I like this visual game, to discover the similarities between the forms, I myself come across a new ideas while drawing. . ✏I really would love to turn these sketches into something like an illustration series, or appareal design or search game page..? Please let me know what do you think, and which drawing do you like? . Ps. Also you can tip where the background pics are taken ;) . . ✏Nagyon szeretnék ezeket valamilyen más formában kidolgozni, például illusztrációs sorozattá, vagy ruházati mintának, esetleg keresős játéknak..? Kommentelj, mit gondolsz erről és melyik rajz tetszik! . Ps. Azt is kitalálhatjátok hol készültek a háttér fotók ;)
Unleash Your Inner Monster: A Guide to Creating Unique and Memorable Fictional Monsters. Part 1: Purpose
When creating a fictional monster, its purpose in your story is crucial. The monster's role can make or break the narrative, so it must be carefully considered. Here's how to craft a monster with purpose:
Define Its Role: Before diving into the details of your monster, determine its role in your story. Is it the main antagonist, a secondary threat, or a misunderstood creature? Understanding its purpose will help you shape its characteristics and behavior.
Tailor Its Traits: The traits of your monster should align with its role. If it's the primary antagonist, it needs to be a formidable foe. If it's a misunderstood creature, it should be capable of eliciting empathy from readers. Consider the physical and behavioral traits that will support its purpose.
Use Metaphors: Monsters can be metaphors for real-world issues or fears. For instance, a monster that represents the dangers of genetic engineering might be created through gene splicing, and this technique makes the monster unique and adds depth to the story.
Create Tension: A monster that poses a real threat to your protagonist will create tension, making the story more engaging. To achieve this, the beast should have a distinct advantage over the protagonist, forcing them to rely on their wits and resources to survive.
Give It A Weakness: The monster's weakness ultimately allows the protagonist to overcome it. The flaw can be physical or psychological, but it should be significant enough to provide a clear path to victory.
By focusing on the purpose of your monster, you can create a creature that is not only terrifying but also serves a clear narrative function. Carefully considering the monster's role, traits, and weaknesses will help you craft a compelling story that resonates with readers.
