So I’m having trouble with my AO3 account, so I can’t upload the one shot there, and tumblr won’t let me post it - I think it’s too long - so yall are gonna have to wait until tomorrow when I have the energy to figure out what’s wrong so I can upload the doc.
But it’s currently 23:20 where I am, and I have to wake up at 07:00, and I got about an hours sleep last night, and I was unable to get any sleep throughout the day.
I am far to tired to deal with this shit.
Sorry famsquad
People’s ignorance about depression and anxiety disorders really gets to me. It’s not a choice, it’s not something they can snap out of, it's a fucking illness.
Honestly, can you imagine telling someone with cancer to ‘stop feeling sick’ or someone who was diabetic to ‘make the correct amount of insulin’? No.
So why is it still considered the norm to tell anxious people to ‘stop worrying about it’, or depressed people to ‘cheer up’ - like they have any say whatsoever in the chemical shifts, automatic thoughts and feelings they experience.
If you don’t know what to say when someone with an illness like this brings something up, then just tell them that, be sympathetic and listen. Don’t try to brush it aside as an ‘akward conversation’ - would you do that if they said they were diabetic? No.
An illness is an illness.
If Today Were Your Last Day, Is This What You Would be Doing Poem

Wayward Friend
I woke last night at the sound of you, but you were not there.because of me,Never there... I searched for you,in darkened rooms, stumbling over mementos, scattered in beautiful entropy, over uneven floors. Did you call my name in uneasy sleep -- in broken dreams of a time when our trust was unshaken, and our footing secure. Did you think of me? Does my spirit still linger?Does sorrow over take you in waves?Or pour from you red, and hot-- blood upon your soul? Does your body shake, from all those you lost along the way, wondering "what if". Or am I lost in hope, holding fast to promises made by ghosts, and a future not yet realized? Giving voice to the impossible, in hopes that it resonates in you. Yours,
You need to be okay with the fact that there will be apologies you'll never hear, closure you'll never get, and feelings that can't be reciprocated.
