J-Fox: A mask is only dishonest when it starts making choices for you.
Until then, darling, it is punctuation.

Just did my first letterboxd review I feel like I should have a matcha in hand and a labubu dangling from my pants!
pretty as a country mile
God, I don't know how to put it...
You know how you famously keep hearing about actors, dancers, singers, and performers in general doing things that'd make you go, "WHY would you do that for that role!? Why did you make that deal???"
It's a need to perform. I don't know how else to put this.
We live for the applause and we'll die if we don't have it. The stage, the screen, the radio, it is our home and the place where we belong.
It's why I ran myself ragged during practices, performed at 110% even though I had thrown up 10 minutes before getting on stage and was STARVING because I wasn't able to keep anything down until intermission. It's why actors dehydrate themselves to have absolute muscle definition. Why people destroy their bodies.
Performing is everything.
It's why you see so many "Deal with the Devil" stuff. It's people taking advantage of those of us who have THIS as the calling to our soul, and our absolute desperation at being able to get that spot that's like hitting a target but the bullseye is invisible and moves.
What made me make this post is because I was seriously having the, "I might actually make a literal deal with a devil if it meant I would be in a lead role and become famous for it," thought process. I desperately wish to be back on the stage, but...auditioning has changed so much, now. Everything is online and I just...don't know how, anymore. Which sites are trustworthy? Which ones get attention?
"Applause" by Lady Gaga is so...correct.
I still think of myself as a performer despite not being in an actual agency, have done any performers or recieved any training lol
I just like telling that bit of copium to get up everyday
It helps motivate to excercise so I can “perform” better and to encourage me to create!
ATM I’m planning on updating all my socials and perhaps pushing out a dance cover rlly soon :3!!!
Why Three Minutes Is More Than Enough
Hey Dave – You’ve written about how important it is to stay within the amount of time you’ve been given on stage. My question is: Why are showcases so short? In most cases, I don’t think you have enough time to prove how good you really are. – S.K. Three minutes and… go!! Hey S.K. – First, for anyone new to comedy or professional speaking, a showcase is simply another word for an audition. A…
