It's All Coming Back

More than a year after what I consider as the saddest day of my life and still, here I am feeling the same pain and disappointment I felt a year ago when the FIRST CONTACT Concert did not happen. The memories came flooding in like a torrent when I read all the posts regarding the cancellation of the concert in Peru. It's like reopening an old wound. A wound you painstakingly tried to close and forget for such a long time. But really, it's almost next to impossible.

It was very frustrating, even until now, to remember that all the work we did was practically useless. It was a concert announced a month before the event. And really, what can you do in a month? We don't have money or any sources for that matter. We extracted all the funds we can get with the help of kind international A+. But after all the sleepless nights, absents from our work, panda-like eyebags, empty pockets, we finally completed a decent, if not the best, preparation we can come up with. Only to be disappointed the next day for the cancelled concert.

My heart goes to all the Peruvian A+ who are experiencing this sad situation right now. But honestly, at the back of my mind, I still envy you. You know the reason why the concert was cancelled, the members tweeted some calming words and most especially, the possibility of the concert is still big. We, on the other hand, were kept in the dark why the concert was cancelled, not even a single tweet from the members, and the chance of them being here is as small as a dot.

So cheer up, you will see them. You are one of the greatest A+ in the whole world. Fighting!
