OMG I haven’t touched Polish in so long. I am looking at the lyrics of this song Stacja Warszawa and I’m just seeing basic vocab words that I used to know what they mean, and I don’t know anymore :(( This song is about a station in Warsaw??

Ich habe dieses Lied gehört und ich verstehe dass der Sänger adressiere die Deutsche Sprache und sagt dass sie ist schwer

Mi canción favorita en español es “no creo en el jamás” por Juanes. Me encanta la letra de la canción porque se refiere a uno de los miedos más profundos míos que es la muerte y no saber qué pasa después - perder todo lo que has tenido en este vida. Aunque he sufrido mucho en la vida y sé que el mundo es demasiado cruel, a veces me quedo sola mirando una cosita cotidiana como un vaso de agua y los colores que se pueden ver en la reflexión o siento el aire en la piel y pienso, “qué maravilla es esto - poder sentir, experimentar, vivir”. Y siento una dolorosa pena porque algún día todos estot momentos van a desaparecer y no sé que me espera después o si algo me espera. Pero en la canción Juanes dice:

Que no se puede vivir Pensando en cuando se va a morir y vivir sin soñar es tanto Como morir estando vivo Yo creo en el presente y eso me aleja de la muerte

Siempre me hace sentir mejor escuchar esa canción.

Comics in my languages:

Beginner: Polish

It’s a joke on pączki, and the only reason I know about pączki (the donut breads in the picture) is because I grew up in Chicago.

Intermediate: German & Portuguese

“It was an accident! I had to sneeze and then...”

Ich mag dieses Comic weil ich jedes Wort verstehen außer “niesen”. Im Kontext kann ich “niesen” verstehen. Es bedeutet “to sneeze”.

Mafalda é da Argentina, mais a este tirinha é traduzida. Entendo quasi tudo porque é muito similar ao espanhol. (cambio al español) Hay us diferencias como “se lhe digo para não ver tanta...” y “vai acabar por me odiar” en vez de “si le digo que no vea...” o “va a acabar odiándome”
