i know a lot of people have moved on and out of the fandom, but is there any hope for you tokyo ghoul fic a pound of flesh?😞 i know it’s been a while, but i’m still blindly believing that it will be updated. your characterization of everyone is so amazing and your writing is so descriptive without being too convoluted.

I have more or less moved on from the TG fandom, but I do on occasion think about APoF. I always wanted to finish it, but it's hard to get the motivation.

That being said, I have started writing a "what was going to happen" rambling piece on APoF to at least finish off the fic. I actually got a couple of pages in before getting stuck again, but I think I might almost be there?

Some days I'm like, you got to finish APoF before posting anything else. Other days I'm like, you got to finish that new Star Wars story you began and is like a chapter from being finished. And yet on others I'm like, I want to work on something brand new that caught my brain. (The people on the Codywan Nation community are probably very familiar of my story ideas that I just drop on them then run away without committing to actually writing a fic. I'm starting to feel bad about it haha)

What ends up happening is that there's very little writing being done 😭

I am happy that you like APoF. I want to finish it, but I can't make promises because my brain is silly and fickle. I will say it IS very possible that I will go back to it.

Also I consider Hide not putting his phone on silent after like the 4th or 5th time it rings to be a plot hole. I mean, really, who both doesn't answer their phone, doesn't check voicemails, and doesn't silence there phone somewhere on the way to 10 consecutive rejected calls?

I didn't mean to! At the time I was just thinking, everyone will be satisfied with this chapter. I totally forgot it ended in a cliffhanger because I tend to write out of order and the middle of the chapter was actually written last.

At one point I thought about killing off Hide, then realized people would riot if I did that. So Hide lives in my most recent APoF notes.

I also once wrote an ending early on with Hinami and Ayato entering the CCG academy, but tossed it out as both APoF and canon progressed.

Writing APoF made me low-key ship Touka/Akira with how their friendship progressed. While the ship won't happen in the fic proper (I've said before shipping isn't a focus in APoF) but I gotta say the Touka/Akira reveal scene is delicious.

One-Eyed King Arima should have happened in canon. I'm going to fix that. That is all.

Honestly? I dunno. I know it's been awhile since I last updated and I've been both busy irl and uninspired to write, but I do think of APoF a lot.

I think I want to at least compile notes on what I wanted to have happen, but I'm not sure if anyone would be interested.

Sorry for the kind of lame answer, but that's where I'm at now. It's on the back burner.
