On October 4 , 1967,"NASA informed the Boeing Company that it was terminating procurement of 10 S-IC stages, S-IC-16 through S-IC-25. Boeing had submitted a proposal on July 3 and an adjusted proposal on September 20 covering the necessary supplies and services for fabrication and delivery of the stages."
-MAF, Historical Report, Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 1967, p. 28.
These were for the second production run of the Saturn V, possibly corresponding to Apollo 21-30 and later two were planned to launch Voyager 1 and 2. The long lead items for S-IC-16 and S-IC-17 had already started when the decision was announced and any materials already gathered were scrapped. Although NASA concluded to lobby for funding for SA-516 and SA-517 (along with Saturn IBs SA-215 and SA-216) until August 1968.
Note: photos are not of S-IC-16 and S-IC-17.

~*~The way Gordo's always chillin' at Jamestown while Ed & Dani work~*~
Ed works on the S-band communication. Dani records the ant behavior. Gordo...watches Bob.
Ed & Dani try to figure out the Russian transmission. Gordo...plays catch with himself while lying in bed.
Ed & Dani have been gathering ore samples & scouting for Soviets. Gordo...goes "apartment hunting" & bounces around on the moon.
Ed & Dani gather ice at the mining site. Gordo...stays at base (granted, he had been confined to the base by Ed at that point).
The little bit of work Gordo does: holding a flashlight & handing pliers to Dani as she tries to fix the Bob Newhart tape...
...and he seems to be allergic to even that small amount of work, as he twitches uncontrollably afterwards. 😂
My poor sweet lazy Gordobear. 🥹🧸👨🚀 I love him so much! 🥰
🩵 Happy Sunday! 🩵
Michael Dorman as Gordo Stevens in episode 1.7 of For All Mankind (2019-2026). Gordo is being thrown into a partition by his bestie Ed Baldwin (Joel Kinnaman) while tensions run high after being stranded for months together on the moon base. 👨🚀🚀🌖
Happy 89th Birthday, Gordo Stevens!
🥳🎁🎈🎂🪅🎂🎈🎁 🥳
To celebrate his b-day, I'm posting shots of Gordo smiling in every single one of his eps (except 2.7 since he only had a tiny scene & wasn't smiling, so I posted 2 pics from 2.8 instead).
Happy b-day to this sweet adorable teddy bear astronaut! 🥰👨🚀🧸
