"Artemis. Artemis. Arty. Arty." With each word, he poked her cheek, and blew warm air that smelled of sunshine and summer at her face. "ARTEMIS."
Her eyebrow twitches as she holds up her book as an attempt to give the other a hint to leave her alone, but then again, it is Apollo. He’s just going to kept pestering her. Slamming her book shut, she glares at him. “WHAT?!”
His feet carried him to her, perhaps out of habit, more so out of pure longing. His arms went around her immediately, hugging her tightly to his vessel. “I’ve missed you.”
A soft laugh escapes her lips before hugging the other. "How cute, you missed me. I missed you too. " She pauses, before pulling back from the hug. "Just a little bit." The goddess puts her index figure and thumb finger in a inch position. "How are you though? Have you met any of your children?"
He would've missed her entirely had he not been so closely related to her, but as it was he stopped in his tracks and retraced them, stopping in the middle of the crowd just to be able to meet her gaze. "Artemis."
Stopping in her tracks, she pauses feeling a familiar aura in front of her. Rather than spending time at home, she decides that she should hang around the mortals for a change, seeing how different they were before. They were more selfish, she has to admit. Catch the gaze of other, she tilts her head to the side and giving him a small wave. “Apollo.”
"black bird" for a darker memory of my muse's past
It all started with a simple cone of ice cream and it ended with it on the ground. One of the older school mates threw it onto the floor then proceeded to stomp on it as their friends laughed. They continued to mock him and he couldn’t do anything but let the tears well up in his eyes. What did he do to deserve this treatment? Sure his mother wasn’t the best of mothers, nor did she have a “normal job”, but it wasn’t like she was a bad person. And yeah, maybe his father hit him and screamed insults at both him and his mother, but he could be kind at times.
He wakes up and finds himself still on the pavement. He can faintly hear arguments stir up and it sounds oddly like the predecessors that had knocked the ice cream out of his hands. He pushes himself off the pavement and rubs his forehead— there was a pounding headache and he can’t point a finger as to where it had come from. He looks around and he finds himself in a center of a fight. None of them are directly hurting him for once and he finds it odd.
The next thing he knows he’s swept into someone’s arms and he can hear adults yelling at the group of children to stop. The stranger asks for his parents, but all he does is shake his head. They sigh and tell him they’re going to take him to the police.
The fight is still occurring as he is taken away from the scene and a small grin forms on his face. “They got what they deserved,” he whispers.

It was her birthday party, and quite a number of guests have been invited to see her grace society's halls as a military commander's and a defence minister's only daughter. It was all fun and games at first, until of course a brand new acquaintance and his only son suddenly marked the appearance of a small snake upon her cake. Though it was too miniscule to even be considered a threat, the nine-year old girl immediately let out an ear-piercing scream, before running off to her chambers. Though a wonderful memory of a new friendship came soon after, the chastising her mother gave her for being a momentary disgrace to the family still stuck to her young cranium.
