Apollo devotion notebook Pt3 ☀️

So, remember the cover? Yeah I kind of hate it 😅

I mean it's not bad.... it's just bad 🙃. It's bad for many reasons. The clouds don't look right, the archway is a blob, No detail anywhere, it's very messy and poorly painted. Dont get me started on the white sticking through. Its just bad. But considering it was my first painting/drawing in literal years. I can't hate it completely.

But i couldn't keep looking at it, it just felt wrong. so i redid it!

Tada! It's soo much better! Although its flat looking as I didn't shade anything, I love it still. I plan to shade it eventually, I just decided it was best to learn that first before committing. So this is it for the moment 🙂 I also plan to add actually plants and not blobs eventually, I just also need to relearn that too! I'm gonna show apollo later tonight, when am giving him an offering. Although am sure hes probably already seen it, I want to show him officially 😄

Apollo devotion notebook (part 2) 🌼

So after I finished the first two pages I decided to learn about the Delphic Maxims. It was something I had heard about before but never looked into, for whatever reason. After reading what they were and that apollo was the one to give them to us, I decided it was probably important to add to his book. Sadly this took months for me to get done as there's 147, and I decided to write it by hand 😅 Never again.

It was exhausting, but very interesting to learn about. And after all that work I dont regret it. After that I needed a drawing break, so I decided to draw the delphi oracle. To keep with the theme I had going. Plus it's the place the delphic maxim was heard so it felt right 🙂

On the next page over am putting morning and night prayers, aswell as a daily prayer. Not a clue what am going to do after that but am sure I'll figure it out

Apollo devotion notebook! ☀️🌻🌴

Ok, so after months going back and forth on my Apollo worship I've finally feel good where I am. 'Technically' I've been working with Apollo for about 9 months, but I've been very quiet about it, and been too scared to actually talk with apollo. Sometime mid December it finally clicked in my brain, I was able to put into words what I believe and why I feel this connection with Apollo and Artemis. Basically I accepted apart of me I didn't know was always there.

So with explaining it to Artemis I've taken sometime away from her worship to focus on Apollo and understanding deity worship. She seems to understand, and I plan to work with her again once I figure this all out 😅.

So after 3 months of actual Apollo worship, I've felt more comfortable with everything. So I decided to show apollo I accept his calling and I won't fear it this time! So I made him a devotion note book!

I painted the door to Apollo's temple at Naxos on the cover, and found out I don't know how clouds work lol.

Inside I started with Apollo's birth story, and drew the palm tree that's planted where he and Artemis where born!

Then finally I did a page on his meny names and their meanings (still adding stuff) I then drew his temple in Delphi, to my best ability 😅

Am super happy with how all of this turned out, and I plan on showing it to him tonight, although am sure he's already seen it once or twice as I've felt him in my room when I was coloring 🙂
