can we normalize letting will solace have a fucking personality that isn’t just nico? the lack of will solace fanart ON HIS OWN is just flat out mean. give sunshine a personality, he’s more then just nicos boyfriend. let my boy be a bisexual representation, and not just have him get the case of bisexual erasure from the fandom. this isn’t suppose to offend anyone or come off as a attack, everyone’s entitled to their own opinions.

Apollo kid stereotypes

There's the really competitive archer kids who do all the sports and probably dance and spar and then end the day suntanning and singing songs around the campfire. They can hit any target with any weapon. Yeah, bow and arrow is best, but they've also got a mean throwing arm for knives or darts or even a baseball. Rocks? Sure. They hit the target. One kid realized it even translates to modern weapons when they went hunting with their mortal friends during the school year with a hunting rifle. They made every shot. More than that, they also do well with other sports like javelin. They're also ambidextrous and have no trouble making shots with either available hand. This somehow also translates to their feet and in a pinch they can also kick to make targets. Turns out these Apollo kids do very well at most sports. You'll find these Apollo kids excelling at any ball sport, soccer included. These are the Apollo kids who are also best at dancing along with some of the musical Apollo kids.

Music kids? They play every instrument. They're bugging the Hephaestus kids to build them custom instruments. They might even luthie their own instruments if they're ambitious enough. They brag about perfect pitch and complain about tone. They're always leading the campfire songs. Any time is the right time to jam. They can manipulate sound, project their voice, and use supersonic and subsonic wave patterns to effect their vocal tone to mimic voices. This also means odd vibration patterns that disturb mortals and demigods alike. It doesn't necessarily change the voice, but the sensation rattles the listener to the core and can manipulate the emotional state of the listener in any direction - similar to charmspeak. Can be used for good or bad, just like how music can evoke a range of emotions.

Then there's your healer kids. They're more focused and nerdy. Bookish. May make up absurd couplets and poems to memorize bones and muscle groups. Might use some prophecy/precognition to tell if the healing will work or is worth pursuing or where to start the process. Also might have heat powers, perfect for cauterizing wounds. Might use music to enhance or guide their healing as well if they're into that.

Poetry kids are a different breed. You'd think they'd be the tame ones. They're quiet. Probably nose in a book, might hang with the Demeter kids or the Athena kids, right? No threat? But they'll curse you with rhyming. They have the Iliad memorized. They know so much history from all they read and consume. They can flawlessly weave words in poetic devices like the best speech writers you've ever met. Sharp tongues. Cunning jokes. Did they just tell you a casual story in a chiasmic structure? Yes. Yes they did. How? Not important. The art of poetry compels and they are a very convincing and captivating, striking kind. People really listen when they talk. And if they have gifts of prophecy? You better watch out because that links up so hard and their more obscure poetry might be saying something. Or they might be able to will things into existence by what they say or write in their poetry.

When Will became Head Counsellor of Apollo Cabin/House, he subconsciously adopted deceased siblings' words and mannerisms.

Before he leaves in the morning, he kisses everyone on the forehead. If they don't accept a kiss, that's fine, a high five, or hair ruffle is good.

For lunch hour, he'll hop around the tables and Cabin to make sure all his siblings have eaten or are eating. Even if he doesn't actually have a lunch himself, he makes sure they see him taking a bite of food or something, so they follow his example. Leading by example is how Michael and Lee got as far as they did, in terms of leading their cabin. There was no segregation between the Head Counsellor and the other kids.

Suppertime/teatime (around 3-4ish) he does the rounds again. The cabin call it his Mama Bear/Mother Hen Rounds and some of the younger ones even call him Mum/Mama Bear as a joke. It kinda stuck after a while and he couldn't be bothered to get them to stop. He kinda likes it, cause it makes him feel like he's having the same effect on them that Michael and Lee had on him and the deceased siblings. Kayla and Austin started it out, by mentioning it in front of the other kids and telling them some stories about when they were little. The kiddies hung onto every word.

Dinnertime Will joins them at Apollo Table, makes sure to ask everyone how their day was and asks the kids what's 1 thing they learnt during the day. They all ask him the same thing back, so he has to come up with at least 5 different things to tell them that are child-appropriate (youngest is 8). The adults at the table don't mind or bother so much.

If anyone is missing from the table, he makes sure to hunt them down personally with a plate of their favourite food, and input from everyone, so they feel involved, like they're helping out the sick/missing sibling.

After dinner, he makes sure the younger ones have eaten an adequate amount (Kayla and Austin and some of the other adult Apollokids give him a hand in this if the kids become fussy and want to leave without eating properly).

Bedtime is different for different age groups:

9PM latest for anyone under 7. (Celestia and Marisol were ecstatic when Mari turned 8 - Celeste was 11 - and they did a little happy dance),

9-10PM for 7-14

11:30PM latest for 14-18.

Whenever the hell you want as long as you're quiet for 18+ (record is an all-nighter set by Phoebe, Tristan, Drake, Aavya and Will himself, when they were doing separate surgeries/extended healing sessions. They came home and plopped on their beds and let the Asclepiades run the Infirmary the next day.

He comes around to the kids and kisses them on the forehead if they're sleeping/sleepy. The younger ones he tucks in, he sits and talks to the teenage ones for a minute or two, sometimes. Most of the time they're engrossed in down-time, either playing an instrument, or writing a song/poem/story etc. The teens do their own things. Then there's the adults, who he can usually trust to stay to their own devices and act responsibly and maturely. Sometimes has a laugh with them, but he checks on each individual living in Apollo Cabin before his own bedtime.

Sleeps with 1 eye open. Him, Kayla and Austin. And some ofnthe other trained doctors too. Tristan used to babysit and Phoebe's a pediatric surgeon, Drake a general surgeon and with a baby sister too (Celestia). So for various reason, these guys are accustomed to being light sleepers. If any kid shows any sign of discomfort. Even if they're in the other room, the adult lot will wake up and won't rest until the kid is put down for bed again, properly

Every night, he Kayla and Austin pay a tribute to their deceased siblings and sometimes the other Campers also join in, the older ones and teenager ones mainly. Some of the kids will also see them paying a tribute and will climb out of bed to join in, thought they may not understand fully what's going on (what 8 yr old generally understands the concept of death unless they've seen or experienced it?)

Everyday Will thinks the day is going to be tough, managing the Infirmary and also the kids in his Cabin. But with the presence of the other adults, whether they're his half-siblings or just 2nd 3rd 4th, hell even 18th or 36th generation descendant of Apollo, he's thankful as hell that they're there, sharing the workload with him. It's no longer all on him.

Yeah, he misses Lee and Michael and the rest if the Apollokids. Like hell he misses them. Sometimes, an older half-brother of his, Austin or Jay Reed, will wake him up and all he sees is blonde or dark hair and thinks it's Lee or Michael, but he realises soon enough it's not. Cause Lee is dead. And Michael is dead. And all that's left of the First Class Apollo Cabin is Will, Austin and Kayla.

But he's grateful and a HELLUVA LOT more protective over these kids and these siblings, cause they're his family. Doesn't matter how old he or they get.

If anyone hurts or questions a child of Apollo (thinking they're with Kronos or Gaia) there is no-one more pissed off or more vocal about where the accuser can go shove that shitty baseless opinion. Furious as fuck. Cause the Apollokids all spend a lot of time in the Infirmary. And Austin (Lake), Kayla, Will, Nico and Percy (Dr Jackson a hemokinetic and toxikinetic healer) spend a LOT of time around them. Honestly, to still question a new Apollokid is to spit in all of their faces and say they don't know how to protect their own dam Campsite.

TLDR: Will Solace goes from being the bby cub to full on Mama Bear of Cabin 7
