More stills from this video piece. Its purpose is to illustrate how skateboarders can re-read and reinterpret environments, and specifically those that blur the lines between art and architecture, whilst avoiding the clichés of skateboard videography - fast editing, fisheye lenses, focus on tricks, etc.
I'll be filming in other places - the only definite location so far is Toby Paterson's Spire Park in Glasgow (if you have any suggestions, please let me know) - and so this video will hopefully run around 15 minutes in length once finished (it currently stands at 5).
I'm pretty pleased with this, I must admit. It was a lot of fun skateboarding around one of my favourite artworks by one of my favourite artists, and I've really enjoyed the challenge in finding alternate ways to showcase skateboarding through video.
