Sinceramente no me arrepiento de haber leído The authority, si no hubiera sido por mi curiosidad no hubiera conocido a esta maravillosa pareja 🥰❣️.

hey everyone!
happy mid autumn festival!
love you all!
Thank you DC Comics for not using Apollo and Midnighter even in the fucking pride issue.
Not even being the first queer husbands in the comics warrant them some clout. Great. 🤬🤬
What’s with the news that The Authority will get a movie?
Are we serious or is a “Star Trek 4 movie will happen” kind of news - if you know what I mean.
Anyway. James Gunn, you better not fuck up with the casting of Apollo and Midnighter. YOU BETTER KEEP THEM IN CHARACTER!!
Never a joy for Apollo.
I was so disappointed that last month in Superman and the Authority #1 there was no trace of the powerhouse couple.
The wait was SO. WORTHY.
Midnighter & Apollo #2
Hell.
Literally.
Authority Checklist: DC universe (Updated 23-08-2024)
The Wildstorm Checklist can be found here.
I’ll try to keep this list updated whenever Midnighter, Apollo or any other Authority character, show up in any DC title.
Prime Earth version (characters introduced in the DC universe during New 52)
Stormwatch (v3)
Grifter (v3) #07 Follows events from Stormwatch #6.
Red Lanters #10 Follows events from Stormwatch #9.
I, vampire 012 This was out the same month of Stormwatch #12 There’s also a flashback in issue #13.
Grifter #13/#14 Clashing with Stormwatch of the same month (#13/14) but... oh well.§ Also a background flashback cameo in issue #16.
Young Romance #1 Was out the same month of Stormwatch #17. However, the storyline of issue #17 starts in issue #14, so this one should be set between Stormwatch #14 and #15.
Midnighter (v2)
Midnighter and Apollo Six-issues series.
DC Cybernetic Summer (2020) 8 pages story in a 80 anthology of other unrelated stories. -> this story has been reprinted in G'nort's Swimsuit Edition (2023).
DC Pride (2021) Midnighter is featured in a story with Extraño, with whom Midnighter previously worked with in the Midnighter and Apollo limited series. Apollo is shown only on the cover and in a marvelous (and very sunny) pin up art with Midnighter.
Wildstorm 30th Anniversary Special (2022) The story “Together“ features instead the DC-versions of only Apollo and Midnighter. The story “City Boy and the King of Cities” features the New-52 Jack Hawksmoor. There’s other stories, in this collection, featuring the Wildstorm version of the Authority and another set after Warworld - see below.
DC's Harley Quinn, Romances (2023) A cute little story. Despite what Apollo’s initial looks would suggest, the story is about the new-DC versions of them.
WildC.A.T.s [#7/#8 + #12] (2023) An AU Midnighter from a different Earth, and a cameo of Midnighter prime in the last issue.
DC's 'Twas the Mite Before Christmas (2023) Background cameo of Apollo and Midnighter at a party in the “It's a Bunkerful Life” story.
Cameos and AUs
Futures End #1 Stormwatch (minus Apollo) is also shown, as pics in the background while main character speaks, in issue #4. Also included as bodies in #7/#9.
Flashpoint #5 (2011) Background cameo of both Wildstorm and DC Authority.
Convergence #7 Apollo and Engineer saved by Superman, only one scene.
DC Sneak Peek: Justice League United Apollo in the background (not worth the hassle to find the copy).
Grayson [#1/#7 + #13/#14 + #18] Midnighter’s cameos.
Batman & Robin Eternal #23/26 Midnighter’s cameos.
Nightwing: Rebirth Midnighter’s cameo.
Deathstroke #6 (2012) Midnighter’s cameo in a flashback.
I, vampire #13 A flashback for events happened in issue #12.
Grifter #16 Background flashback cameo as Grifter thinks back on his recent life.
Voodooo #5 Stormwatch only shown as background characters in one panel.
The Wild Storm Angela Spica stars since issue #1. Jenny is on the cover of #3. Shen is included from #8. Jack before #17. Apollo & Midnighter are first seen in #17. The Authority characters meet in issue #19. I haven’t gotten my hands on the older issues but the series is one big plot with characters specific arcs, so the best would be start reading from issue #1.
Love Is Love (2016) MIdnighter and Apollo appear in their Wildstorm, original looks in a one-page story in which Midnighter is taking out his rage for the shooting. Apollo (with Midnighter in the background) also cameos in another story set at the Pulse, where he orders tequila for him and Midnigher, who’s waiting for him on the dancefloor. Anthology released by various artists in conjunction with DC and IDW comics for charity, profits devolved to the Orlando Shooting survivors.
Wildstorm 30th Anniversary Special (2022) The story, “Requiem” features the whole team in the Wildstorm original formation, lead by Jenny Sparks. She’s the main character of the story, but it’s a good throwback to the first series of the Authority. In the story “Better Days”, focused on Mr. Majestic, we get a long flasback with Midnighter and Jenny Sparks. There’s other stories, in this collection, featuring the New-52/DC version of the Authority - see above - and also a story set after Warwold - see below.
DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War (2022) One the main characters of this is Midnighter. Apollo, Jack Hawksmoor and Jenny Spark (with a cammeo of Swift) are only featured in a side story. Their presence (and looks) suggest the Wildstom version.
Future State timeline/version
Future State: Superman, Worlds of War Midnighter from the Future State timeline.
Action Comics [#1029/#1034] Midnighter’s story continues in his own past, where he lives with Apollo.
Midnighter 2021 Annual Midnighter’s story concludes.
Warworld storyline (should be Earth Prime but I don’t understand Superman continuity. Whatever. I’m only trying to read Midnighter’s and Apollo’s stories anyway.)
Superman and the Authority Midnighter & Apollo are introduced together in issue #2.
Superman/Batman: The Authority Special Takes places after page #14 of Action Comics but it’s a stand-alone story.
Action Comics [#1035/#1046] Continues from Superman and the Authority miniseries. Never a joy for the lovebirdies(of prey). [this long arch is getting harder and painful to read: Apollo is mostly absent and it’s heavily Superman-centric (no surprise) so every other character gets a very side-character treatment. The miniseries was more balanced on this]
Superman: Warworld Apocalypse Finale to the Warworld story line started in Superman and the Authority. Finally the birdies are reunited. Only PTB know when we’ll see them again. :(
Action Comics [#1046/#1048] Follow up of Warworld Apocalypse. The team returns to Earth Prime.
Wildstorm 30th Anniversary Special (2022) The story “Together” is a direct follow up of Action Comics #1046/1048. Apollo and Midnighter are back on Earth, but Apollo is having issues adjusting. The story ends saying it continues in Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #6 but in that series neither Apollo or Midnighter show up. There’s other stories, in this collection, featuring both the Wildstorm and the new-52 versions of the Authority - see above.
DC Pride (2023) They are the main characters in the “Anniversary” story. The timeline/setting of this is a bit odd. They are in their Wildstorm looks (Apollo has long white hair and wears his original costume) and they’re also married (they have never been married since the New 52 debut), but there’s a reference to their time with Superman, making the story set after the Warworld storyline.
Jenny Sparks (2024) (Flashbacks and mentions of things happened in the Wildstorm run. But it’s set in the DC universe) (#1 released so far: Unknown if any other Authority members will show up)
