Staghorn sumac berries steeping to make a cold summertime drink. When i was a kid we called it 'pink lemonade', which is charitable as it contains no lemons and has is sort of a burgundy tinge to it. Anyway you get a bunch of these berries and infuse them in boiling hot water to turn it red, then add a little sugar, then maybe some herbs for flavour. I'm going to use lavender because it's in season right now. This drink is for a "food independence day" celebration that I'm having tonight.
