Yes, yes, Ambition's Debt and all that, but I'd forgotten how incredible Veklin is in Susan's War. The sneaky remarks in all directions, including directed at Time Lords. Not trusting Vibax because she doesn't know anything about him. The Trust she has in Susan. The way she talks about Appana.

Seriously a crime that Big Finish kept saying “all right, here's some great Veklin stuff, and now she's not/barely in the next episode(s), but we're bringing the Doctor back! Why do interesting when we can do good old boring?”

Wait shit fuck.

Point 1: Veklin refusing to openly accept Susan as her friend but basically using the term *comrade* as a replacement.

Point 2: Appana just having gone through a regeneration two audios prior.

I have found these two dots. I believe they connect somehow. I do not know how. Someone help me connect them please.

Also the fact that Appana is stated to be close to Veklin, appears in an audio but doesn't have a single line, is killed and regenerates but apparently stays alive, and is then never mentioned again??? That's criminal. SHE'S STILL OUT THERE. GIVE US MORE APPANA WITH VEKLIN. GIVE US APPANA IN WAR ROOM 4, I DON'T CARE¹.

But also the fact that Veklin is basically established as Susan's friend but isn't at all in Susan's War 3? Ughhhhh. Big Finish why are you giving me such great stuff with this character only to then take her away from me.

¹ I'll probably be up to date with Gallifrey around the time War Room 4 comes out.
