6. Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?
There are exactly two people he’s ever trusted enough to always take their advice, and they’re both dead. Sooo...
Basically, I hc that Sean Cassidy/Banshee was kind of like a surrogate father figure to him. It made sense. He was the team dad, after all, and it’s not a stretch to make that assumption. But Jono really liked him and would always take his advice to heart (so to speak). He wouldn’t always follow that advice, but he’d at least listen and seriously consider it.
Ditto to an even greater degree with Angelo. Angelo knew him well enough to know when he legitimately needed to rant and pout and when he just needed a smack upside the head to knock him out of a funk, so Jono trusted his advice. And in that respect, he really did usually follow Ange’s advice--not always a great idea in and of itself, but he’d have followed Ange to hell and back. Bros before reclusive depressive episodes.
That’s not to say he won’t listen to what other people have to say. But he’s likely to do his own thing and not really take them all that seriously.
As for people he won’t take advice from . . . Wolverine. He doesn’t know what it is. They actually have a decent relationship (despite the fact Jono has set him on fire--canonically!--at least three times already...) and he genuinely respects Logan, but damned if he’ll let that little moose fucker tell him what to do. He always has some sort of knee-jerk response that compels him to do the opposite.
