"Shuu has died" aY
“…..has died.” finish it in my ask.
The feeling that accompanied those words was the feeling of his heart sinking into his stomach, breath caught in his throat as if an unknown force was holding it there. He wanted to regard that as untrue, a lie that he didn’t want to hear as people tried to get a rise from the young princess.
Dark eyes focused on the person who told him this, a servant he assumed. Emotions threatened to choke him, as he felt an unknown ( or rather, uncommon ) emotion choke him alive and because of it tears were left in his eyes. Genuinely pathetic, a person who had considered himself to be a demigod crying over something so insignificant.
( A rule he had made for himself: Do not mourn the dead. They will not hear your pleas. They will not acknowledge your tears. They won’t come back. Mourning is only done in ᴠᴀɪɴ. )
A rule he had made for himself was being broken. Turning himself away from the servant, instead making a run to the bedroom. His goal with this unclear. Perhaps it was to avoid being seen looking so pathetic, maybe it was to see if this was only a cruel lie. But, with the room being empty, the silence, too, threatened to suffocate him. The door shut behind him, and frail body only slid down against the wood. The only good thing that he got out of that was blocking access to the room, no one could see him like this.
“Don’t… why…” The accursed emotion held him in a vice grip, voice shaky and cracking as control slipped out of his fingers. Knees were brought up, raven hair blocking features that weren’t hidden away in his knees.
( Pathetic prince had his world stolen away, and the thought of living without this one person was sickening, nauseating. )
“Dammit…” Feeling hot tears slip past his eyes, a gloved hand rose to try and wipe his face clean before instead hitting the door. A hard thud came, the only sound aside from the noise of Sei struggling to catch a breath. “Just like everyone else…”
( Shuu was like everyone else, wasn’t he? He left, never to come back. No better than other rats, one would figure. But… )
“Please… you can’t leave me…”
