who does the admin play?

the admin thought that she would pick an fc within a day of putting the roleplay in the tags, but the admin is somehow incapable of choosing a faceclaim.

i have two great character ideas but haven't found an fc yet! i'll have a character for opening day, i promise. i feel admins set the example at the beginning of a roleplay and i want to pick an fc i'll love playing.

fc suggestions for the sinterdri family?

i would really love to see aaron cobham as head of house, but in a cursory search, it seems all of his packs have been deleted. other fc suggestions are lashana lynch, marsha thomason, kingsley ben adir, paapa essiedu, hakim kae-kazim (as maybe an uncle or a cousin), jodie turner-smith, melodie wakivuamina, ebonee noel, sophie okonedo (if you want to make the matriarch playable), thalissa texeira, gugu mbatha-raw, adrian lester, ruby barker, cara ricketts, jessica parker kennedy, angel coulby, antonia thomas, stephanie levi-john, antonia fotaras, djimon hounsou (as an uncle or older cousin), idris elba (also as an uncle or cousin), howard charles, rege jean page, marcus griffith, mckell david, kit young, and shalom brune-franklin.

some make work better as cousins or uncles/aunts due to ages compared to the current family outline ages, but if you really love an fc for your character idea, we can try to fit them into the family!

do you want period gifs or would modern gifs be okay

i cannot deny that i would prefer period gifs, especially for any of the set roles. this is mostly for continuity sake on the dash; if you're rping against someone using gifs from a medieval show, it just looks strange when the reply has the gif of a character using modern tech. it pulls me out of it, personally.

i will always accept faceclaims with non-period resources since i know not every fc has them, but if we're speaking on preferences, i think period gifs do help contribute to a period atmosphere on the dash and i like that as an rper. since we can't theme the dash itself after the rp to build muse, gifs can do that for us.

if you ever need help finding period gifs for faces of colour, i have many directories to help you.

since we're almost at the character number, could we perhaps start chatting/plotting? :)

i haven't made the discord server yet, but i'll open it to everyone once we hit 15 characters. we haven't set the opening date yet, which likely will not happen immediately the moment i accept the 15th character.

do you have any job suggestions for members of the merchant families?

you can always lean on their family's business and have them participate in those industries, but they could also be unemployed and act as a socialite or have their own trade or business! maybe they're trying to break away from their family, or diversify what the family does. for example, ashlynn vanbeerg is a book keeper!
