Orange Albatross - Appias nero
The Orange Albatross butterfly, Appias nero (Pieridae), is easily distinguished from other Appias species by the deep orange color on the upperside of the wings of both sexes, and the yellow color on the underside.
This species is found from Sikkim to Singapore, and on the islands of Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi, Java and Palawan.
Pictured is the subspecies Appias nero figulina.
