The appigles are all packed in a box and ready to go!
That’s right, been a little quiet here, because I got a new job and am moving states! There’s so much, too much, going on! I have just gotten back from visiting my new city and buying a new house which has a whole basement I can set up for art~ so here’s hoping that as soon as I’m settled, there will be a lot more art to come!
In the last week or so this basic pattern has developed appigles, moths, and a sentient dust bunny/baby werewolf. What should I make with it next, and do you folks want me to share the pattern(s)?

This appigle is a walkin! And walkins what they do~
I may make a a little simple background for this one but I do love the little walk cycle by itself! It’s so satisfying to see the appigle come to life. I really got the calm yet peppy sort of step I wanted. I think appigles are very mellow critters on the whole- other than the bad apples of course.

The hopeful answer is YES. I want to sell them. There’s a week or two of work left in the model itself (if all goes well) and then I have to clean up the print. From there it really depends on if this fall/winter humidity is low enough that I can cast resin. Long time followers will know me woe with that product. If it is- easy yes. If not, I may look into having a company cast it, but that would be more expensive.
What I can tell you is in the mean time I have a few things I am researching and hope to very, very soon (maybe even this weekend) finally be able to announce something cool with the appigles that I can sell!
I’m also going to order a few test prints of some art and see what works best.
The print! I’m very glad I went ahead and printed it now before I molded the leaf ears and such. There’s a lot I’m really happy with but some shapes I need to change now that I have it in person! For example- it’s a little too tall after the midway point.
Printed on a makerbot replicator 5 at 200 microns based on a model from Maya.
Appigles much prefer wallowing in caramel than mud! Chocolate bits are a real bonus.
(Green apples are the best apple with caramel.)
