Macbook and Sims 3 issues

What the hell? I installed Sims 3 to my Macbook Pro w/ retina with an external HP DVD Rom and it wont open because it doesn't recognize that the disc is in the rom so i cant play and and now i have pop ups when i go on the internet.

Any Mac experts out there?
