aragon: not much different yet somehow drastically transformed the look to a new level by just looking a lot more polished
boleyn: not much different and like i wouldnt care either way
seymour: i actually like this peplum n i think it makes abby’s figure look SO good its grown on me a lot but im here for it
cleves: i like the westend/australia updates its a small different but i like it however i despise the broadway costume reveal n i think it sexualises cleves more than it needs to idk like the point of her loving herself was v prevelant without the reveal n think it was a bit unneccesary (i do understand why it could be fun to watch but rn it just makes me a bit uncomfy)
howard: small differences still cute doe
parr: okay i love all the updates like it looks more angular and regal somehow except, yep u guessed it, the peplum and heres my personal reason for not liking the peplum: i think that the previous designs did a good job at having a balance of traditionally feminine silhouettes (the skirts/dress) and masculines ones (cleves and parr) and i feel like by adding the peplum is makes it too feminine and the costumes all feel samey to me and theres less diversity w it all (enya was talking to me about how contrast is needed to make an impact in literature n shows n stuff n i think that applies here because parr and cleves ARENT like the other girls at first bc they dont care about the competition which was subconciously reflected in their costumes) and yet despite all appearing as different types of women they are all still treated like women bc hyper-feminine to hyper-masculine women ALL go through the things the queens experience and i feel like the contrast is lessened when the peplum is added like both gabriella and anna said it was sexier and sure perhaps it is but does it need to be sexy? not in my eyes no.
holy shit ever since the bom fandom you have drawn art for every other fandom i moved on to (and im very excited to see your six art!!!)
LOL I honestly don’t even know what I was drawing in between BOM and GO... I think I was mostly focusing on original content/was just absent from drawing, for the most part, during that time.
Happy to hear that! I don’t think I’ll end up doing more than one or two pieces though; I really fucking love the costumes tho... Cleves and Aragon (obviously) are just.. damn... I’m love... also Parr’s entrance in the beginning is gorgeous
i accidentally deleted @appleflavoredkitkats ‘ ask saying:
‘aaAaAa your fic was so soft and sweet and amazing !!! i just love me some soft scyvie,,, quick question abt that universe—how did yvie and scarlet hook up??’
IM SO SORRY sdahskhd but omg thank you so much!! i’m really thankful that a lot of people have enjoyed it : )) i definitely have thought about how they got together, and i think it’s so adorable. this isn’t much bc im in the middle of studying for finals rn, but i wanted to whip up something quick for u so here have a little mini one-shot <3
When Scarlet and Yvie they were on drag race, they knew something great was forming between the two of them. They never really addressed it, but they just had an unanswered agreement that they both felt attracted towards one another. They’d sneak in hand holds in the van when the other queens were busy talking over one another. They would also steal cheek kisses when no one was looking and when the cameras were off. They had this sort of unspoken love affair that they never talked about the whole time they were on drag race.
When they finally got to hang out together outside of drag race, Yvie casually asked if they were serious and if she wanted to go out with her. Scarlet replied that she does, but she believed she’s worth more than a simple question.
Yvie was taken back by her reply, because no one she’s ever been with has ever been this vocal about what they want. Scarlet explained though, what she meant by that. She talked about how in old movies they would court the woman for a long period of time, and she loved the idea of being worked hard for. She wanted to feel worthy of hours of labor, just like in the movies she grew up with.
Yvie was still kind of confused with what Scarlet wanted her to do exactly, but she understood why she would want that (it probably stemmed from a personal problem, but she knew now was not the time to bring it up. She learned her lesson and made sure her questions and assumptions were appropriate for the situation at hand). But even if Yvie was still pretty confused, she accepted the challenge.
For a whole month, Yvie would do anything in her power to get Scarlet to say yes. She’d send her flowers and leave them by her doorstep, she would show up with chocolates in a heart box and cuddle her for however long she wanted. They would even play around with the idea of Scarlet still having doubts (despite being 100% sure she wanted to be with Yvie for the rest of her life) so Scarlet would have her 60’s romance fantasy fulfilled. They’d continue on and sooner or later Yvie felt like it was the right time to ask her out.
So a minute to midnight on new year’s eve, Yvie wrapped her arms around Scarlet’s back as they both watched the fireworks go off. Yvie would start to talk about how grateful she was for Scarlet and how she was worth every dollar spent on flowers and chocolates. Yvie then pulled away to meet her lover’s eyes, and asked if Scarlet would be her boyfriend.
As the clock struck midnight and the fireworks went off, Scarlet said yes. They shared a kiss under the stars and finally, Scarlet could call her one true love the boyfriend she planned on keeping for the rest of her life.
