With these apple pie fries, you can enjoy the deliciousness of apple pie in a fun and easy-to-eat format. They're crunchy and cinnamon-spiced, and they're perfect for dipping!
Ingredients: 2 large apples, peeled and cored. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 package refrigerated pie crusts. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted. 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the peeled and cored apples into thin, fry-like strips. In a bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice, cinnamon, and granulated sugar. Set aside. Unroll the refrigerated pie crusts and cut them into thin strips, similar in size to the apple slices. Place an apple slice at the end of a pie crust strip and roll it up like a fry, enclosing the apple slice inside the crust. Repeat the process with the remaining apple slices and pie crust strips. Arrange the apple pie fries on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each fry. Brush the fries with melted butter and sprinkle brown sugar on top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the fries are golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve the apple pie fries with caramel sauce or whipped cream, if desired.
