posting quite often since I'm off school lol but anyway
here's a bit about the au except I can't write for my lifešš just basic descriptions of designs which also contains some personality traits of the different characters
(I'm failing english my bad)
appletale. basically it's an au, mainly chara centric (SORT OF?????) all about apples (not exactly really but it's mostly/gonna be associated with apples especially with its name, and character designs and stuff...) with alot of its storyline possibly being up to interpretation
it's got big differences to the regular undertale with it being a permanent true pacifist sort of route without any deaths and no resets, and the characters are all different either being normal (or completely different like apple!asriel being a bird.) idk how to write this lore stuff lol

the characters all may have different roles and possibly even different personalities from canon undertale
chara is a red apple with their design including red circular like hair resembling the general stereotypical apple with a stem and leaf pointing from it! the worm is actually resembling the fact they're rotting (linked to canon undertale storyline where they're deadš¢) and they have their regular normal red cheeks with a brown eye ALSO canon to undertale charas sprite before all the red eye stuff but one eye having a apple (shaped?) pupil which can change to a half sliced apple during their different emotions (being confusion, excitement, anger etc) and the full apple (being happiness sadness etc) and sometimes their under eyes may be a pinkish red but it isn't a permanent thing!!
their shirt is like the regular green yellow one stripe jumper but the stripes also appear on the sleeves (also like how I stated the worms a sign of them rotting, their arms are also rotting too and appear with a dark brown like a rotting apple , I've said rotting 3 times in that one thing my bad) with a apple in the middle and a brown shirt underneath with a collar !! they also have brown shorts and boots same colour as the shirt and stem and knee high socks with a light brown colour with one knee bruised ALSO like an apple due to their fall from the apple tree
I am ashamed to admit I don't know the differences between they're their and there....
their personality is honestly up to interpretation but they like drawing skateboarding and singing (but they suck at all three) and adore their brother and best friend asriel! since he was the first person they met after falling (haha like undertale am I right guys!)
let's go onto bird asriel
OK so he's still Charas brother figure here and toriels and asgores son (don't ask how this logic works cause it's fully biological, monsters are made of magic I suppose) but he's a bird while his parents aren't. I draw him funny with a smile WHILE having a beak but that's just for stupid reasons and isn't canon to him at all, he's a bird goat (a bird with goat horns which can also be seen as funny feathers I guess that's the best summary) and a classic bright green shirt with two yellow stripes and then he's just the typical white bird šš (mind you I created this whole au YEARSSS back like when undertale first released back in 2015 and I was just a kid so my designs and stuff are still following along from that despite the adaptions throughout the years)
toriel and asgore are both goats still but do not have their royalty status and instead toriel is the caregiver of the apple tree chara specifically came from while asgore is still her ex husband he also helps with the other apple trees (there's no human monster war here guys!! hooray) asgore does hate that sans successfully used his puns to get toriel though ("bone appletit toriel." he says while drinking ketchup).
toriels design consists of a little farmer hat with her constantly watering the flowers and apple tree and her iconic purple long dress but with a tree in the center instead of the delta rune emblem and more bigger sleeves which have apple like polka dots (YES everyone must be applefied) and she really loves her dark blue watering can!! she also has fireball powers but she has control over it and only uses it when needed (like when to cook or make the fireplace) and not to fight since honestly she doesn't need too. her horns also are small but really slim making them seem pointy with small daisy's wrapped around them (blame chara and asriel) despite it she keeps them on and sees them as pretty!)
asgore also keeps his typical design, he also waters the flowers while keeping care of the other apple trees and he likes studying the worms which may appear in some, he is very interested in chara and frisks appearance and how they could possibly of been half human half apple. his horns are more curved like a genuine goats like a full loop and pointing out and he CANT manage his beard so it's really fluffy and he likes to sometimes wear a fake paper crown because in this universe he wishes to be king (if only he knew..š) he adores his child (cause like yeah charas kinda dead) and likes to wear something similar to his deltarune shirt but instead more of a light blue with white dots and sandals?? he always looks like he dressed up in a rush and doesn't care about how he looks.
sans and papyrus are both still skeletons but papyrus for some reason has a apple stem on his head and befriends worms? so he usually is seen carrying around a basket full of jars with mini enclosures for his worms. papyrus still shares a love for cooking and spaghetti and still gets lessons with undyne and likes to prep for their date nights (well done papyrus!) and wears his cool dude outfit (seen during true pacifist fake date) because hello he's still the coolest guy ever?? noone can compete!
sans still makes stupid skeleton puns and jokes (including apples when he's around toriel) and he has a whole collection of different ketchup bottles stashed away somewhere, he wears his typical outfit too but his shirt just has a giant green apple right in the middle because he knows he lives in apple land (??) and his pink slippers also have apple stems on it because papyrus wanted to glue them on top so he could say "pink apple slippers" (for whatever reason but sans wants his brother happy) he's unaware asgore is watching his every move... and his right eye glows a blue and red instead of the classic blue and yellow.
grillby is just red and also has a apple stem and also still has his own restaurant but instead he serves stuff like apple pie (recipes by toriel, not including snails, cooked by papyrus)
gaster doesn't exist here and if he did he would just be an apple tree.
the other monsters (like froggit, jerry and shyren) still keep almost the same design but differences also regarding your own interpretation! (cause younger me didn't think of all these things and I don't want to nowš)
temmie is just temmie and temmie village exists and tem flakes and we still can pay for tems collage. but they also sell all that apple merchandise every monster be wearing nowadays because they all like apples since there's a tree and apples where ever you go ( the apple doesn't fall far from the tree..)
undyne keeps her fishy look and I iconic red hair but she also wears a white and red vest/shirt like in her normal sprite and has brown freckles
alphys is a yellow monster (honestly I still keep forgetting whether she's a lizard or dinosaur) and long lab coat but she helps asgore study the different things and even helps asriel turn into his goatself! ("look chara. I'm the GOAT now.") but she has green eyes.
every npc is either the same as undertales or just up to interpretation...ššš
monster kid is genuinely just a giant apple , they are still a monster but pure red with apple stem while keeping the yellow and orange knitted sweater! "yo! undyne, look I'm an apple with no arms."
(I really can't write descriptions or anything.. all this is summarised by meš)
muffet still has her hoard of spiders, her along with mettaton, mew mew/mad dummy, gerson, mettaton ex and other missing characters are all up to whatever people want them to be like since my older designs were TERRIBLE and I'm still trying to think of more. muffet works grillby while still having her personal bakery.
napstablook is still their normal self but a more yellowish, like the inside of an apple!
Frisk is similar to Chara but as a golden apple and their shirt remains the two stripes with it being instead also like the inside of an apple and the stripes being the same colour as apple seeds and typical stem as all ways ^_^ š I'm trying my best to try and draw the characters for you guys just TIME CONSUMING AND HARDšš
(frisk and chara are from two different trees, if any confusion)
