Homophobia
I would like to express my opinion about this and I would also like some honest and non hateful replies if you can, Thank you. Homophobia; well what is it? It is a person or group of people, a whole-boddied being who dislikes and hates gay couples maybe being even scared of the couples or groups of people who are the same gender and who love eachother. I am not mad, I understand that their was a time where it was classified as wrong, a time where it was so bad you could be put in jail or killed, beat up. Some people still think that time is now, where its wrong to be different. I want to say its not wrong, it shouldnt be wrong to love someone of the same gender, nor should it be wrong to love someone of a different religion or race; because in the end theyre still human, they still have beating hearts and working brains and they are wonderful the way they are. Now, my opinion standing is that "Everyone has an opinion and thats perfectly fine, but if its a bad opinion about someone that youve never talked to or opened up to how is it fair? You haven't given them a chance." I cant say that I used to follow this, when I was little I believed everything my parents told me but now I realized I was wrong. I used to hate gay people because my father told me that if I hung out with them or talked to them that he'd kick me out of the house. I hated them because I was a coward and I was scared, and now I would like to appologize. I would like to appologize to the LGBT comunity for any harassing that has happened to them for being the way they are and promise I will stand by them and help them whenever I can.
