nurses think and act fast all the time. by the time you are sitting on your bed, walking with a walker, me saying hi or hello, even when you ask me to clean your table top, to call the kitchen, or even explain something which is not my job anymore, i find answers for you. i just don't do nothing and sit. that initial contact since i clocked in for that day and that moment i saw you face to face till the end of that 12 hour shift, i keep on assessing and reassesing you. i'm always aiming to give the best care to you - holistic and patient-centered. you may see a damp of exhaustion on my face but i still give the best smile that i can give. you know why? because i chose this profession and i am a nurse. whatever personal things might come up to me, i still have to be the caring nurse who will hold your hand whenever you have your darkest fears - may it be before or after a procedure or you recovering, may it be after you give birth, me giving the first bath to your baby; or even at the lowest point in your life when you feel alone and wanting to end your life, i will be there to show you how beautiful life is and share your fears so it's easier for you to stand up again; even at the last day of your life, i will still be here to hold your hands, pray and celebrate your wounderful life that you lived. i am a nurse, and this is the promise and my duty that i have sworn to the people around me that i will take care of no matter what. #nursesnotes #rn #registerednurse #nurse #appreciatenurses #clinicalnurse #lvn #lpn
