Allen literally just sprINTS DOWN THE HALL AND TACKLES LAVI. He just wants his best friend to cuddle with him and tackling him sounded like a good idea at the time.

Lavi let out a yelp when he was tackled, crashing to the floor. As soon as he saw who it was, he laughed and wrapped his arms around Allen. “Ya know. There are better ways ta get my attention, ‘sprout.”

To say he was surprised would be an understatement. When he’d received the letter, he couldn’t really understand what she’d said. It didn’t make sense to him. What exactly was happening that would cause her to not return? He kind of wished that she’d explained everything, but at the same time, he was afraid that it would just confuse him more.

When, not if - he refused to believe that there was a chance she might not return - she got back, he’d ask her about it. He only hoped she’d be willing to tell him even a little bit of what had happened and why’d she’d been gone.

Despite wanting to listen to what she’d said, he couldn’t stop the ache that spread throughout his chest as he reread the letter again and again. It wasn’t often that he allowed himself to feel this like this, but the thought that she might not return made the heart he wasn’t supposed to have hurt more than he’d have liked.
