Asra/Lina - Musical Memories
Here’s my half of the trade that @mad-hatter-rici and I (dreamyarcana) did featuring her adorable apprentice Lina~ (check out her half here!)
It was warm and breezy out, the wind teasingly playing hide and seek while the sun peeked childishly around the clouds, its rays tentatively brushing against Lina's skin. In theory, Nadia and Lina were supposed to be cracking the case of the devious doctor who had escaped that very night, however the day was simply too alluring for them to ignore it.
The Countess enjoyed the sweet apprentice's company - Lina was soft and kind as well as a talented tarot reader and natural healer.
"Are you enjoying the day so far, Lina?"
"Ah, yes, very much so!" she answered eagerly. "It reminds me of the day we had off - the day you played the pipe organ for Portia and me."
"Oh? Do you play an instrument yourself?"
"I can play a flute leaf.”
“You can play a . . .flute leaf?" Nadia's eyes widened with interest.
"Yes, would you like me to play for you, Countess?" offered Lina, holding a hand out.
“I would very much appreciate that." The regal, magenta haired lady smiled kindly, her eyes sparkling as she watched Lina find a suitable leaf to play with.
The music was a simple melody, but nonetheless sweet. It sounded faintly familiar to Nadia, as if she had heard it once upon a dream. Lina's eyes were shut as she blew into the instrument, her mind wandering and thinking of Asra, who had taught her.
Little did she know, the magician himself was thinking of the cheerful blonde at that present moment as he played the flute leaf on a hill overlooking the section of town he resided in with Lina. He was thinking of the time she first taught him how to play - it had occurred right on the hill he was on at that moment. Lina was in his arms, her soft hair brushing against his skin; she smelled like fragrant as if the ocean’s breeze was always with her. Joyfully, the bright eyed beauty had gently pressed her lips against his after teasing about his failed attempts to play with a rosy flush. Asra pictured how cool the night was, yet how hot he was with her as he held her waist while kissing. The blue eyed apprentice was cuddly, optimistic, and all smiles as they snuggled under the night sky years ago.
Snapping back to reality, Asra blinked rapidly trying to gain a better sense of himself - he couldn’t remain forever in his bittersweet memories. He dearly missed the small things, though, like holding her close late night to the subtle sparkle in her eyes when he’d come home. Pausing in his tracks, Asra wondered if one day, everything would come back to her.
If so, he hoped that she would remember that he loved her.
