Asra wanted me to leave. It was dangerous for me to stay in Vesuvia. I...know I should have gone with him, but I couldn’t just step aside. Not while my neighbors, my friends, were dying. I had to help. I didn’t know how, but gods help me, I was determined to do it anyway.
Because the magic in the Arcana universe seems to follow an “anything goes” sort of rule, this will cover her more prominent abilities.
Hydromancy: Morgan has a natural affinity for water magic, especially aquakinesis–essentially waterbending. She can manipulate water in both its liquid and solid forms, as well as communicate through it, and generate it to a small extent. This includes liquid inside living things, especially via hemokinesis (bloodbending). She can also dehydrate living things such as plants, and use the water as she would any other water.
Illusionary Magic: She can make and control illusionary images and sounds.
Healing: Morgan can heal injuries and illnesses, though depending on the severity of whatever she’s healing, it can take a great toll on her.
Herbalism: Morgan has some knowledge of herbal magic and can create potions or medicines with it.
Protection: She can use runes and glyphs to set shielding spells around areas. These spells usually work as a sort of blacklist, disallowing anyone with harmful intent to cross.
Familiar: Morgan has formed a special bond with her familiar, Circe, a white and gold serval. Namely, they can communicate telepathically.
Magic Gate: Morgan has a personal magic gate which she created. It looks like an opulent pleasure garden, with many fountains and marble pavilions.
History
Morgan was born at sea and raised in the Republic of Galbrada, a small island country in the Emerald Sea, to the southwest of Prakra. Her father, Hasani, was a very wealthy nobleman and merchant who was often away overseas, and her mother, Amaya, was a former entertainer from Vesuvia. Having been born prematurely, she never quite developed a proper immune system. As such, she was often ill as a child, and rarely left the family estate until she was ten. She was often frustrated by not being allowed to leave, and spent a substantial part of her childhood dreaming of accompanying her father on his travels, sailing away to distant and exciting lands.
At 16, Morgan joined her father’s merchant crew as an apprentice captain. She fit right in with the crew, and was confident that she’d stay with them for the foreseeable future. However, at 17, she fell ill with consumption (tuberculosis) in Prakra, and was sent home to recover. Her mother took care of her for the most part, until she contracted the illness as well and passed away.
Apprentice Timeline
After her mother’s sudden death, Morgan’s father decided that she should no longer be going to sea. She was sent to learn magic from her aunt in Vesuvia, instead of continuing as a sailor. Though she was bitter about being sent away, she eventually learned to call the city her home, especially after meeting and becoming friends with, and later romantically involved with, Asra.
Shortly after the plague outbreak, Morgan entered an apprenticeship with Julian, who she quickly developed a crush on, though nothing came of at the time. Her training in healing magic came in handy while working at his clinic, even if running both the shop and working at the clinic stretched her magic rather thin. She eventually ended up contracting the plague, and her final known action before going to the Lazaret was leaving a message for Asra with her friend, Selasi.
Sailor/Non-Apprentice Timeline (Ship Timeline)
Her father was hesitant to keep Morgan on his crew after her illness. After a lengthy argument which they quite made up from, Morgan was finally allowed to stay. Her relationship with her father became a bit tenuous after the argument, however, with Morgan continuing to hold onto silent resentment. She continued to sail around the Emerald Sea and Salty Sea with her father. During her travels, she met and befriended Pasha Devorak, and later her older brother Ilya. She would continue to be good friends with both of them, though funnily enough, neither sibling knew of the other’s friendship with Morgan. She also earned the nickname “Azure Dragon” due to a particularly remarkable fight with pirates.
After many years of sailing and lots of long visits, Morgan began to see Vesuvia as her home, more so than Galbrada. Her feelings were split, however, when it came to the idea of staying in Vesuvia, as she didn’t want to leave the ocean behind. She wondered if there was anything…or anyone that could convince her to make up her mind.

I tend to associate Morgan with lotuses! They're a water-based flower, and I've drawn Morgan with them a couple times. I know lotuses are usually pink, and Morgan is usually blue, but they're just so pretty. I wish there was more to the association, but there really isn't... It's just pretty water thing + pretty water thing.
Once again, I pretend to know how lighting works. This time, featuring Morgan's parents! Meet Hasani and Amaya Drakos. A rich Galbradan merchant, and a Vesuvian dancer...a match made in heaven.
