How about 33 for Jareth and Julian
I hope you like it! I love these two so much. XD
33. The feel of fingertips trailing over a bare shoulder blade
Julian had fallen asleep on the small bed in Mazelina’s home, exhausted from the energy they’d expended while escaping Nadia’s soldiers. He hadn’t realized how tired he’d been until they’d settled upstairs. The moment Julian’s head hit the pillow, he was asleep.
Jareth watched the doctor for a few moments in the silence. Soft sighs came from Julian’s lips as he slept, his face peaceful despite the anxiety he had clearly felt earlier that night. There was something on his mind that he had yet to tell Jareth and even though the apprentice knew that whatever it was could change everything between them, they were willing to give Julian a chance. He didn’t seem at all like the villain that Nadia seemed to think him.
Julian was… kind. Jareth hadn’t expected that at all. There were things about the doctor that were certainly surprising. Nothing about Julian was simple. But there was something strangely beautiful about him. Something that drew Jareth without pause.
Julian mumbled something in his sleep before rolling over, exposing his back. His loose white shirt had shifted to expose his pale shoulder. The flesh there glowed in the candlelight. Jareth reached out instinctively, not thinking about what they were doing. Fingertips brushed gently against Julian’s skin. It was barely a touch, but even the slightest pressure was enough to wake the doctor from his slumber.
Glancing back at the person he shared the bed with, Julian’s eye appraised them sleepily. “They always come back for more.”
Jareth rolled their eyes, trying to ignore the rapid beating of their heart at the look on Julian’s face. Eye half lidded in sleep, a goofy smile on his lips, and a slight reddening of his cheeks were almost enough to end Jareth on the spot. They could admit to Julian that he was correct. Jareth wanted to hold him all through the night, brush their fingers through his crimson locks, press kisses upon that exposed throat…
But they needed rest. Julian needed rest.
With a sigh, Jareth leaned back against the pillows beside Julian, watching as the doctor slipped off into a deep sleep again. Jareth doubted that they would get any sleep being so close to Julian’s cool body, but it didn’t matter.
Jareth was sharing a bed with Julian and that felt… right. It was everything.
