Hi, Plusius. I've seen your Paranatural Apprentice AU drawings. Thought the humanized spirit designs were pretty clever. However...where's Isaac and his spirit though? I think it's rather unfair to not include them in your concept series, when you already have Johnny + Forge in there...(and Johnny's not even an Activity Club member!)

Hello Anon.  There is an explanation for this.And that’s simply cause I’m actually having difficulties with Isaacs Spirit design and where he would fit into that AU.  We don’t know much about the Spirit.  I believe we don’t even know his name.  I’ve actually been talking about this with another tumblr user and coming up with ideas on what kinda occupation he would have and what kinda apprentice Isaac would be.  So far things don’t really add up for him and I’m just not really satisfied with what I’m coming up with.  The other tumblr user and I were maybe thinking about a weather man of sorts?  Or maybe the CEO of a news/weather company since the Spirit seems to be very powerful and intimidating.  I wanted his occupation to be as close to his powers/theme as possible and the weather man idea seems to be the closest fit, however, that leaves Isaac.  In this AU all the kids are the same age as they are in the actual webcomic (with Spender being a little younger).  I can’t see a weatherman/CEO taking on an Apprentice at such a young age, the company would want someone else more experienced, professional and older, plus he wouldn’t even be called an apprentice, it would more likely be an Intern.  However I’ve been thinking about just chalking it up to the Spirit knowing Isaacs family and taking him in at an early age to learn more about the business/media industry as a favor to the family?  There’s also the trouble of his design.  I’m not that talented with drawing adults, and Isaac’s Spirit is posing as a very difficult challenge for me since his design is something I’m not really familiar with (or don’t have the confidence to draw out…).  I have some ideas about it, but I’m not sure if that’s the way I want him to turn out.  Judging from the scene when Isaac was pulled into that spirit trance thing (can’t remember the word for it..) the space around them looked very Roman God like.  I wanted to connect that with The Spirit himself somehow but I just have no idea how.  Plus it kinda looks like he’s wearing a ski suit?  IDK WHAT TO MAKE OF HIM.As for why I’ve made Johnny + Forge before Isaac is because I’ve kinda already planned out Forges importance, role, and design in my head (might still be changed!).  Tbh he was actually one of the first spirits I’ve thought of in his human form (Scrapdragon being the first).   PLUS!!  The Apprentice AU is NOT limited to just the Activity Club Members!!!  I’ve been playing around with the idea of Dr. Zarei on being a little younger and an Apprentice to Patchworm and where all her other spirits fit in.  As well as Agent Day and where she and the Consortium would fit in all of this mess. There’s a lot going on in my mind with designs and roles with this AU that it’s kinda hard to keep track, especially when I started a ThievesAU.I’m sorry if I’ve disappointed you and others with my lack of activities on this AU and on Tumblr.  Okay I think I may have overwritten on this post…but if you have any Ideas about my Apprentice AU or Thieves AU I would love to hear it!

Spender needs to learn how to dress to impress.

This is Lucifer and Rick Spender in my Paranatural Apprentice AU.  Read more about it and Scrapdragon+ Max Here.  Read about Eightfold and Isabel Here. 

In this AU Lucifer is the owner of an Antique Furniture Store who lives in the apartment upstairs.  He took Rick Spender in when he was younger.  In the picture above Spender is a couple years younger than he is in the comic.  Lucifers age is unknown.

Lucifer acts exactly the same like in the webcomic.  He always tries to steer Spender in the right direction, and scolds him when he ignores his advice.  Lucifer is always impeccably dressed (Darn those socks tho).  I was gunna give him a monocle but I guess I forgot... ; - ;  I wanted Lucifer to be a bit shorter than Spender, but he’s definitely the type of person to wear shoe lifts.  He also owns a couple budgies and loves to feed pigeons at the park.  Since Spender is an apprentice of Lucifer at the store, he’s not earning much, so he takes to babysitting a certain group of other 12 year old apprentices *CoughyouknowwhoCough*.

Since we don’t know much about Lucifer and Spender in the webcomic I don’t have much to go on in making a background story in this AU.  But Lucifer and Spender is withholding a secret in the basement of the store. OoooOoo.

I might change Eightfolds design.  I’m not exactly satisfied with it but it’ll do for now? So anyways, this is Eightfold and Isabel Guerra in my Paranatural ApprenticeAU.  Read about it and Scrapdragon + Max here.

In this AU Eightfold is a librarian/or book store owner, and Isabel is her apprentice because her grandfather was fed up with Isabel’s recklessness and attitude.  So he decided to put her under Eightfold as an apprentice to teach her about patience, discipline, and responsibility.  Hoping that the quiet environment will tone down her reckless ways.  Little did he know that Eightfold and Isabel would get along really well.

Isabels grandfather told her to dress more properly.  This was the most professional she could do.  Luckily Eightfold doesn’t really care about dress codes or anything. Eightfolds design will most likely change.  She looks more like a cheerleader than anything really.  Eightfold has a really bubbly personality and is often seen as a motherly figure, especially to Isabel.  She has a knack for recommending the perfect books to people.  Eightfold does teach Isabel, but they have fun doing it.  That is until Isabel finds out that the library/Bookstore closed down, and Eightfold is nowhere to be seen.  All of her contacts has been blocked, and no one knows where she is.  Isabel is devastated at finding out about her missing friend, and is determined to find her.

Sorry this is kinda long.  I’m still not sure where this Au is heading.  But I find it fun to come up with these little details involving the human versions of spirits.  Thanks for reading!  :DD

SO.  I’m gunna make this a thing now.  Im calling it the ApprenticeAU where the spectrals are actually apprentices of the human versions of their spirits (Except they’re not spirits, they’re actual humans...whoo maay or may not have paraSupernatural powers.).

So here we have Scrapdragon and his apprentice Maxwell Puckett. I wasn’t sure if I should make Scrapdragon a samurai who fights off evil spirits plaguing the town or something else.  Maybe he’ll be a master swordsman that freely roams the town and no one really knows where he came from or even sees him all that much.  THAT IS until he sees Max running away from some aggressive spirits using his parkour/free running skills.  After Scrapdragon helps him out he practically demands that Max be his apprentice cause this kids got potential yo.  Something like that.  Max only agrees cause he gets to learn some sick sword moves. Scrapdragon has a cool and collected personality.  However, if you so much as boop him on the nose, his eyes will turn red and he is not afraid to use his sword as a warning.  Scrapdragon and Max are a little awkward at first, since neither of them have any experience with apprenticeships (Scrapdragon did not think this through.  He’s practically giving a kid a giant knife.), but they start to warm up to each other later on.  Scrapdragon starts to get protective of Max and later thinks of him as more of a younger brother.  A younger brother that climbs trees(or anything really) and is snarky enough for the both of them.

I’m not sure how far I’m gunna take this, but we’ll see.  I have more ideas for everyone else, but I haven’t gotten to it yet.  THERE WILL BE MORE TO COME. ...i think...
