Apprentices: "IZUKU!" I call out to him, chasing him into the forest.

I should've seen the signs, seen that he was spiraling. Why didn't I?! Was it because when the teacher All Might recommended for him came to UA that Izu... Midoriya. I lost the right to call him by his name for ignoring the signs. Midoriya got better control of his quirk?

Thirteen would be disappointed in me for missing the signs.

"MIDORIYA, WHERE ARE YOU?!"

I rub my eyes, tears threatening spill over. Everyones compliments, MY compliments, they must've felt derisive. Like we were insulting him.

I stop running, needing to catch my breath. Looking around, I try to spot a sign, some tracks, anything to show me were he went.

It's then I notice a dark purple fog. The same fog that exploded from Midoriya when he... he finally cracked under what ever pressure he feels like he's under.

'I'M JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!' Izuku's words echo in my thought.

Why? Why does he think he's not good enough.

Watching the fog for a moment, I step into and follow it back to Midoriya.

Soon enough, I could hear him. Hear him crying. Carefully feeling my way over to him. I hear him gasp, he likely heard me coming towards him.

I take solace in the fact he didn't move, judging by the lack of noise.

Feeling my hand hit a tree, I carefully sit down.

"Do you want to talk about it" I ask him, not being able to see him in the dense fog.

He stays silent for a moment, before he starts talking. I'm happy I found him, as his voice comes from right behind the tree.

What he told me, coming from anyone else I wouldn't believe them. Looking back and seeing his struggle, seeing All Might try to help only for it to not work. There's no way any of this isn't true.

As he talks, I circle around the tree and sit next to him. By the time he finishes his story, and the fog disapates, I couldn't help but notice that throughout his explanation he sounded like he needed a hug.

Seeing him passed out in my arms though? I can't help but wonder how else I can help him.

I stay there for a while, simply letting him sleep. Ragdoll finds us moments later.

I promise, Izuku. I promise to help however I can.

Verso remains frozen as two of the boys wiggle out of his grasp and run at Ali- Maelle. The third one, the quiet little black boy - Adrien the others provided - is a lot more hesitant. He looks at his Verso's sister from the corner of his eyes, like looking at her straight would make her disappear.

And she might.

With the Curator standing there she very well might, but Renoir is clever enough to understand that he needs all the help he can get. Even if the help comes from his unknowing, repainted daughter.

Verso doesn't think he imagines the look of resignation on the man's non existent face, as he gently pushes Adrien towards Maelle.

Who despite the clinging of two little boys, does not let her stance to falter.

"Why do you have my brothers?" she snarls in one second, and gently brushes the hair of Adrien, looking for dirt or injury in the next one.

It's an unpracticed move yet still familiar, like she had seen it from time to time and is trying to imitate it now. And Verso remembers doing the same with her Alicia trying to copy Papa. Trying to be a good older brother. Trying to comfort her crying baby sister who fell down. Trying to comfort her baby sister who was burning.

The terror of losing her.

Something if all goes to plan Maelle Alicia will know how it feels. All of her painted family falling to petals.

He shallows the bile in his mouth. He tries for casual but his voice comes out rough.

"I found them near the landing site of expedition 33."

He doesn't mention that the sight of three children covered in dirt surrounded by corpses will forever be etched into his brain. That the moment he found clean water, he washed their hands clean of blood. That they weren't talking at all until they reached the wonder that is the flying waters.

Maelle still doesn't lower her rapier, but looks down at the boys. The one with straight brown hair - Guillaume if he is sentencing them to death he will do the courtesy of knowing their names - answers, embarrassed and bashful.

"We snuck into the ship." he whispers, head still nested into Maelle.

Verso sees the realization hit her. First disbelief, then anger. After that the terror again. And at last relief.

She drops the rapier - sword disappearing mid fall - and finally hugs the three little boys.

"Merde." The curse comes out as a prayer, as a sob. "You guys are so fucking stupid."

Snatch is a pretty good pick. We don't see a whole lot of Pro Heroes unfortunately so there's only so many to choose from

Instructor Infinite x Apprentices: Midoirya wasn't expecting the whole class to also be mentored by Heroes, but it actually gives them something more to talk about outside of lessons, so he can't complain.

I think it was mentioned before that Shigaraki got his ass handed to him during the USJ. That plus no Stain video means he might not want to try his luck with 1-A again.

But hey, this means Izuku can actually TRAIN during the training camp. I doubt that’ll do much with his imposter syndrome though
