Amazing. Tumblr is well known for its cult followings of niche animated films and there's almost NOTHING on this site for my all time favorite Don Bluth film The Secret of NIHM so appreciation post time.

The film was an obvious labor of love, and its filled with mysticism and experimental lighting techniques. The art is fucking to die for and most of characters are at least tolerable to an adult audience. This is coming from someone who has ALSO read the book and I actually enjoyed the films additions and changes for a compelling sort of back yard fantasy story.

If you don't know anything about it, the story follows a newly widowed mouse named Mrs. Brisby who's trying to move her family from the feild before the farmer plows it. Her son Timmothy gets a terrible case of pneumonia so she has to go to the rats who live in the farmer's rosebush to help her move her entire house.

I came across your content through Tumblr and my goodness am I glad for that. Even though your style is simplistic, it’s absolutely adorable, and further more, incredibly rememberable. A lot of your doodles were some of my greatest inspirations (yes that is no joke), and it literally warmed my heart the first time I ever saw you liking my content and saying that you liked it. It took me so much courage to ask you to do a collab (ahaha rip) but damn, it’s been so good to get to know you better from that point. Your RP style is fantastic and created some of the greatest memories I’ll ever have on simpchat. I’m so grateful to call you my friend.

Hell, even in the early days of just knowing you through tumblr and saying you liked my doodles and headcanons really warmed my heart. Regardless, it’s been such an honour to get to know you as well as I do. Your AUs are goddamn fantastic and you’ve got a damn good talent in the art department; literally you’ve helped me personally improve so much. You’re a wonderful person whose goddamn hiliarious and i will forever be proud to call you my friend.
