Just because I have this annoying cold doesn't mean I've stopped #Walking. Walking seems to help my poor lungs and sore throat - don't know why that is but it does. However, with my lower energy levels I have to do things a bit different and, as always, it's important to listen to what your body is telling you. For me, instead of speed, I'm focusing on distance. And it doesn't have to be all at once, either. I walk a little in the morning, some more after I get the kids from school, and a nice evening walk, maybe with one of my kids or, like last night, with my DH. Sometimes while I'm waiting for the oven to preheat for making dinner, I'll walk around our series of cul-de-sacs which is about 10 minutes. Then I'll put the food in and do it again. It's the movement that's important and listening to how your body is responding to it. I didn't want this sickness to derail me and I'm happy to say it hasn't yet. #BeHeathy #WalkingLife #ApproachingFirstGoal #InTheHomeStretchNow #InItForTheLongHaul (at Fair Oaks Ranch, California)
