Elizabeth is not into Lucas because he's hot and rich. How about because he actually pays attention to her and what she wants. When was the last time Nathan cared about Elizabeth wanted?
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why I don’t want a love triangle. People get their panties in a wad over the stupidest things and want to fight. I can argue that Lucas can only give Elizabeth what she “wants” because he has the means (money) to do so but I won’t. 😉 I said positive things about both men but you want to go on the attack because I’m saying he’s hot (true) and rich (also true)? Those are facts.
I am already so frustrated by the dumb war that’s been created between two characters we really don’t even know that well. I don’t care what “team” anyone is on. Both men have their pros and cons. If anyone else is going to come at me with attitude, you can leave. I’m not here for it. I’m not going to be supporting any conversation that isn’t civil. We don’t need that negativity surrounding the show. We’ve been through enough bullshit and I’m sick of it.

I think Julie would be great with him too. It would be fun in general for Kristen to join the Hallmark family. I can think of several regular leading men they could put her with.
I’m excited to see what newcomers they bring in this year. As much as I enjoy a lot of actors we already have, it’s always great to switch things up.

Ryan is supposed to be in a Christmas Movie called Christmas At The Plaza. I am hoping they pair him with Jessica Lowndes. I think she'd be a great match for the movie and for him. Who would you like to see him do a Christmas movie with?

I would love to see him do a movie (Christmas or otherwise) with Kirsten Storms who played his wife on General Hospital. I love her so much and they were so great together. She was Zenon for those not familiar with the soap world. I’m just obsessed with General Hospital and I need some sort of fun reunion.
Out of Hallmark people, I think he’d be cute with Julie Gonzalo. I would love for Laci J Mailey from Chesapeake Shores to do a movie (it wouldn’t be this year since she’s pregnant... same for Meghan Ory who I’d also like to do more stuff).
Maya can't help but worry when Josh comes to stay with Cory and Topanga for the holidays with his leg in a cast. She covers his cast with her drawings and finds herself wanting nothing more than to take care of him.
“Ok, what’s going on?” Josh walked over and sat next to Maya, who was sitting on the bed in his dorm room, “You’ve been distant all week.”
“I was hoping you wouldn’t notice,” she mumbled.
He chuckled. “Trust me, There is nothing I don’t notice about you,” Nudging her shoulder with his, he asked, “So, what’s going on?”
Taking a deep breath, Maya told him what had been on her mind all week. “I saw my dad last weekend.”
Josh let the confession hang in the air for a moment. It was no secret to anyone Maya’s issues with her dad. He still remembered the first time he found out. He was only ten, Maya was seven. It was a Father’s Day that Josh and his parents went to New York to spend it with Cory, Topanga, Riley, and Auggie. He remembered seeing Maya looking sad and asking Riley about it.
“She has no daddy.” Riley said with a frown, “But, don’t tell anyone. It’s a secret.” She put a finger to her lips to get her point across.
Little Josh just couldn’t accept seeing Maya so upset on a day where everyone else was so happy. So without even thinking about it he went up to her, grabbed her hand, and dragged her over to the table where all the adults were sitting.
“Joshie, what are you doing?” she asked in confusion.
“Riley told me your dad couldn’t be here. So, you know what?” he kept walking until he stopped behind the person he was looking for. “You can borrow mine for the day.”
He never forgot the big smile that stretched across her face that day. Maybe that had been the day where they both knew that they’d be in it for the long game. Or at least that’s what Josh liked to think. Right now, he wish he could see that smile again.
“You want to talk about it?” he asked her, reaching out to hold her hand.
“Not really.” she sighed, “But, you’re not gonna let me drop it, are you?”
“Not a chance.” Josh smirked. “So, out with it.”
Maya shook her head. “I don’t know. Seeing him…it messed me up. I was doing just fine, you know? We were doing just fine. Then, he comes back, and makes me think all these things…”
“What things?”
He watched as she bit her lip, clearly hesitating to say what she had to say.
“Maya, you can tell me anything.”
She nodded. “I know that, Josh. I do.” Closing her eyes briefly, she braced herself. “I think I’m in love with you. And I’m terrified.”
Well, he certainly hadn’t expected her to say that.
“Wow,” Josh breathed.
“That’s all you can say?” Maya asked, “Wow?”
“Well, you kinda sprung that on me, gorgeous.” He chuckled nervously. “I always thought the first time you said that we wouldn’t be talking about your dad.”
Her eyes widened slightly. “You’ve thought about this?”
“Yeah, once or twice.” he shrugged. “It’s safe to say that I think I’m in love with you, too.”
Maya’s eyes twinkled at his words, a small smile gracing her lips. Still wasn’t the big one he wanted though.
“I can’t say I’m terrified about loving you, though.” he continued, “Wanna elaborate on that?”
Her face fell and she looked down at her hands while she spoke. “I don’t know, Josh. Seeing my dad again, especially after we’re finally together, it made me have doubts.” She stopped and stared at him, “I don’t want to end up like my parents.”
Josh furrowed his brows. “Who says we will?”
“Josh, so many couples end up like my parents. I mean, haven’t you heard the Shawn and Angela story?” Maya asked in exasperation. “It’s like two out of three couples are destined to fail.”
“Maya,” Josh shook in head, “You’re telling me about other people. I don’t care about other people. I care about us. You and me. Just because other people don’t make it, doesn’t mean that we won’t.”
“How can you be so sure about everything?”
Josh sent her a soft smile. “I’m a Matthews. It’s what we’re known for.”
Maya let out a little laugh, the big smile Josh was searching for slowly coming out.
“Look,” Putting his hand under her chin, he brought her face up to his, “I can’t promise that this will work. Because I don’t know what’s gonna happen. But I can promise you that I meant what I said back at that lodge years ago. I’m in this for the long game, Maya. Or for however long the game wants to let us play.”
He heard her soft intake of breath and when she spoke, her words were filled with emotion. “I love you, Josh Matthews.”
“And I love you. Pretty sure I always have.” He smiled and leaned in to kiss her.
When he pulled away, Maya finally had that big smile on her face.
For all of your anons: The only episode that comes chronologically comes after New Year is Legacy. Money goes between Texas and New Year. Same for Bay Window. Commonism is from right after Tell Tale Tot and STEM is from right after Creativity.

I don't think Josh is confirmed for Graduation but its a possibility depending on why he wasn't in New Year. It make sense for him yo be in Legacy as he is most likely to help Maya get unconfused.
Despite not having seen the source myself, didn’t someone say that Uriah mentioned coming back on GMW soon? I think I saw someone mention that on tumblr, although I have no idea when or where they received that information. Does anyone know?Also, he was confirmed on twitter by the writers, but that was a long time ago, so who knows what’s happening. Hopefully he actually returns this time, because I can’t see them moving forward with the love triangle until everyone’s feelings have been dealt with.If anyone has any concrete info about Josh, please let me know :)
