Imagine being in the prime of your life and you are told you have (colon) cancer. Welcome to these six women reality... 🔹️ April was diagnosed with Stage II Colon Cancer in 2012 at 26 years old. April is an advocate who works tirelessly with her organization The Signs of Life and other organizations to bring awareness to Colon Cancer. 🔹️ Tiffany was diagnosed with Colon Cancer at 32 years old shortly after the birth of her daughter. Tiffany advocated for Colon Cancer by bringing awareness to the disease and its impact on young adults until her health declined. She passed from Stage IV Colon Cancer on March 29, 2020. 🔹️TQ was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer in 2019 at 38 years old. TQ is a loving wife, and wonderful mom to 4 children. TQ is a successful entrepreneur who continues to work in the community and be source of inspiration to other individuals. 🔹️ Shan was diagnosed with Stage III Colon Cancer at 29 years old. Shan is very transparent about her Colon Cancer journey and she uses her voice to not only bring awareness to Colon Cancer, she also educates African Americans about being high-risk. 🔹️Joecie was diagnosed with stage III Colon Cancer in 2018 at 29 years old when her son was 12 months old. After several rounds of chemo and surgery Joecie was cancer free. Unfortunately, Joecie's cancer returned in March 2020 and she is now fighting Stage IV Colon Cancer. Joecie is a warrior for her son and other fighters. 🔹️Jimika was diagnosed with Stage III Colon Cancer at 25 years old. Jimeka educates others on the symptoms of Colon Cancer in hopes that her story will save someone else's life. _ Colon Cancer screenings do not begin until the age of 45. The age of people being diagnosed with Colon Cancer is decreasing and the rate of people being diagnosed is increasing. _ Colon Cancer doesn't care about age, race or gender.
