Aproquen is an organization that treats burned children. This is my first activity of the year 2017. My year started in a pretty good way, because the first thing I did was help these kids. My group and I went to the hospital Vivian Pellas and we gave them some toys so they can have fun and just have I time to forget of their pain and smile. 

At some point of our visit I started feeling sorrow and sadness for these moms and their kids. I could see how they both were suffering, the kid because of the pain of the treatment/misfortune and the mom for seeing their kid’s pain.             And I say ‘God will make them heal’.

It was a wonderful experience to be able to share with all this doctors and proffesionals from APROQUEN, a burn unit in Nicaragua. I learned so many beautiful and wonderful things from them and from the patients. I was able to see the suffering of the kids but also I tried my best to give them a reason to smile.

I spent three months helping the organization, during that time I had the opportunity to learn medical terms and the special treatment for each type of burn.
