I think it's just having been stuck in this town for the past 6 years that has me feeling unaccomplished and dreading turning 30. Hopefully that'll change this year.

You got it.  I only used 24 oz of cream cheese, because 32 plus the pumpkin seemed a bit much (volume wise).  My hunch was correct because when I poured it into the springform pan, it almost overflowed and I had to eat some of the batter out of the bowl (there are worse problems to have, I imagine).  But if you have a 12 inch, or whatever the largest size pan would be, 32 oz of cream cheese might be more suitable. 

I also added a little milk to it, because it was a bit too thick with just the 2.5 tbsp of heavy cream.
