Amo Amo Amo! Friday I found my new happy place in Rome ! With Alice and Jacopo, who were leaving for holidays soon, we wanted to go someplace none of us had been before! “I’ve been trying to go to The KeyHole please lets go to The KeyHole !!” 🙌🏻 Once in Trastevere Alice started asking impatiently “How long till the place? Is it far? Is it there? How long till i get a drink? It’s midnight guys i need my drink!” It seemed almost like having you there ahahah anyway before she could keep asking I surprised her with a “Tadaaan Heeere We Are! ✨” that she didn’t see coming! Loved their astonished faces when they saw the door! 😍 Hidden by a thick ivy frame, the door is of a deep dark green and it’s filled with KeyHoles of all sizes, shapes and styles ! 🗝🚪🍁 We rang the golden ringbell and waited.. “Is it Open?” .. 🤔 ..Rang it longer 🙄 ..“It Doesnt Look like it’s open” 🏚..“A Speakeasy never looks like it’s open!” ..Rang it again 😩 “Ffffffuck tell me it’s not too early again ” We were desperately ringing when a Whistle from the corner gave us a hope chink : thats the barman approaching from the end of the street!🚶🏼 “Hey guys you re a bit early… Wait!.. Y O U A G A I N !?” 🙈 ahahahahah and this is how it started🙋🏻 ! Well the thing is that I’ve spent the night before wandering around Trastevere waiting for the bar to open, after having been told twice that it was still too early, twice that they were having unexpected Ice problems, and then giving up ending at Freni e Frizioni just in time for the last call! 👸🏻 So yes I’ve been trying to enter this place for two days being loyal to my stalker nature which was being rewarded by letting us get in even if they weren’t ready🕶! It was Special to walk in the place with no one else inside.. The bright red walls, the Mirrors, the Sofas, the Airmchairs, everything seemed to be there just for us! Not a noise except the music. 🕯🛋🎶 Loved it! We found our spot, close enough to the counter, with two low armchairs and a small sofa, perfect for Jacopo that lies down pretty much everywhere he can.. I’ve been staring around and at the bottles a bit and we had a smoke while waiting for the barman to finish his prep.. He said he was ready so the three of us went for the choice. Jacopo, as the most cooperative, just said that he likes Rum and Fresh: He got a super refreshing Mint Daiquiri🌿🍸. Alice got in a High beautiful tumbler some Hendrick’s Gin with Cuncumber, Rose Syrup, Lemon Juice and Soda 🍹. I said I was a Ginthusiast, that I like sweetness and usually hate cuncumbers. I stood there the whole time exploiting the privilege of chatting freely before the crowd landing, and playing some Waitress Time bringing my friends their cocktails. I got a dainty Fizz that was so fresh I sipped it up it in a sec ! Generous Gin, Home Made Rose Syrup, Lemon Juice, Egg White and Soda.🌹 People were starting to fill the place and it was time for our Second Round. They told me their likings and I went claim the barman for some other delights. This time he did it in a Sour Mood so, in a saucer, I had some Beefeater with Saint Germain, Violet Liquor, Agave Syrup, Lemon Juice, Egg White and Soda. 🌺🍸 Even the Barmen said you should have been there! I was telling them how it sucks that my BarMate is in Amsterdam and how usually I’m not alone Stalking the counter but with by my side Your Tipsy Shaved Head ! Anyway I got so distracted from the chats and the laughters that I completely forgot to order for the others so the barman had to go and ask them himself ! He Made a Rum Old Fashion for Jacopo and a Beefeater with PassionFruit and we can’t remember what else for Alice ! 😅 Dont even feel the need to say how Top everything were. We all loved them all ! 🍸🔝🍹❤️ I was starting to be happily tipsy and they thought it was better to had me leave before I can order a third round 🙈 So I left the bar with hugs and kisses and the promise to go back.💃🏻 I promise you we’ll go together too 👯 !
