When I ride into Apsley a couple weeks ago, I was shocked to see that Sayers Foods was gone. Unfortunately, a fire destroyed the building and business. The kids at the local elementary schools painted these wooden hearts to show their love for their town and for the grocery store that has fed them for decades. Sayers is an institution and a place we always stopped at. While the community has temporarily lost its only full service grocery store, the kids reminded everyone what was important. Sayers is supposed to be rebuilding this year. Can't wait to see the new store.
