The MMIWG inquiry is underway in Vancouver, considered the birthplace of a national movement. But it almost didn’t happen. Remember when Harper steadfastly believed an Inquiry was unnecessary stating “We should not view this as sociological phenomenon, we should view this as crime” Over a thousand missing or murdered indigenous women in Canada. In 2014 APTN Investigates took a look at Harper’s roadblocks through the eyes of these “tough old guys” They combed the bush in a vast remote area in Northern BC for over a year. Ok .. so lets take stock of the year that passed. A few weeks late.. I've been busy

To be honest .. kinda a butt of a year, what with all the psychos in the White House, Nazis everywhere, and well cancer.

But there was also so much awesomeness! So I think I'd like to share...

10 COOL THINGS IN LIFE & POP CULTURE 2017

1) My kids, as always. It was a year of graduating, protesting, trapping,and marrying

2) The Last Jedi

3) My new roomy.. She's so funny, she's so messy

4) PICKLE RICK

5) Winter camping in the middle of summer. With some whale watching thrown in.

6) Shirley Mclean using panache and charm to jump the queue at the U2 concert. Got us to the front of the stage. Running to Stand Still is an all time heard it live moment for me.

7) Bingeable Netflix Originals... Mindhunters, End Of the F***in World

8) Killer Pain.. My most complete Investigates yet.

9) Two Maynard shows. TOOL & A PERFECT CIRCLE

10) A CSA nod
