Is it possible that RWBY discusses dust even less than semblances? For what an important thing dust is made out to be, we're fairly in the dark about it. Does pretty much everything (from lightbulbs to weapons) use dust? Are there other kinds of energy? And why is it that nobody ever seems too particularly concerned about those giant dust robberies? Is that just bad writing, or is there just that much dust to go around? The show hasn't made me care about dust enough to care about those robberies
Yeah dust is never mentioned anymore. I don’t necessarily think it’s bad writing, just another facet of the show’s mythology that isn’t important and is just there. Dust unlike semblances was well established at least. But yeah I’d prefer if they discussed the show’s mythology more in the actual show, and not in word of remnants.
I'm surprised you guys were so positive on the latest RWBY episode. I agreed with every "positive" point you guys made: Penny, Great Music, 2-second Blake sighting, but I thought it was a pretty weak episode overall personally. Great music can't save the fact that we just had a fifth "1st" episode... Feeling that way about the FIFTH episode is a problem. I actually think we even managed to have less story movement than any other episode this time around! I'm unsure why you guys were so positive?
Well there were basically two main points we made: 1) On its own, this episode was good. 2) The season overall isn’t where it should be and the episode was unsatisfying from that angle. I definitely stand by both of those: in isolation I really liked it, but boy is the season frustrating so far plot-wise. There’s just nothing there. Can’t pin it all on the latest episode though, it’s more of a season-long problem.
Is Qrow like Archer or what? The first moments of seeing Qrow in action (everything after that initial bar scene), all I could think about was how much Qrow reminded me of another character... and then I realized that I was thinking of Archer. They are very alike in many ways, wouldn't you agree?
Interesting interesting, I can see it. Drunk and jerks, yet competent in spite of it. I think the main difference for me right now is Qrow isn’t anywhere as sympathetic as Archer so far. I tolerated Qrow, and he was even somewhat likable at times, but he didn’t come anywhere near how charismatic Archer is.
Okay you haven't seen Wolf Children, but what about Summer Wars?
I have seen Summer Wars. Good, not great.
Were you to get a Wii U, what games would you consider for your Wii U library?
I don't even think there's any Wii U games out right now that I want... Certainly when open world Zelda comes out I will get that, and I'll want the new smash. But other than that I can't think of much.
Random, but have you ever seen the animated webseries TOME?

Alright, here's a short new animation!
Now, I was working on bigger stuff, but it turned out to be too big for my already-limited animation time, so I had to set it aside for the time being. I made THIS one instead, based on a script I wrote while I was animating Genius Cop 2.
I tried out some new stuff, namely a new lip sync method. While I love the result, there was just too much work involved, so I'm going to have to find a good middleground.
I wrote it at the time because I realized that Ms. Leursen (who I consider to be one of my more iconic characters) is only in three of my animations, and one of those is a remake of the other! Plus she's just fun to work with, both in writing and in animating. She listens to the least of my animation rules. I'm still open for doing voiceacting by the way, if anyone is looking for voiceactors!
Alright, time for another semester of classes. We'll see what kind of free time that translates to (spoiler alert: probably none).
